“This was a pleasant surprise to me, I have never spent a night in Soweto prior to this trip so I must say this place will now become my Soweto homebase.
Great warm welcome and fabulous environment, lovely room and amenities.

The room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was homely and we enjoyed it so much. A day before the marathon we received nutritious food parcels since we were going to leave for the marathon at 4:00 AM.

Unfortunately there are not restaurants very close but the guesthouse is not far (less than 3 km) from The Glen Shopping Centre, where you can find many restaurants and fast foods. We paid extra for the Jozi historical gold mine tour and were glad we did. Going down in the gold mine and later up on the large Ferris wheel were both highlights for us.”

“We got a family room excellent for 5, 2 big beds and 2 single beds. Great value for money. We had a very good time in Alcazaba hotel. There is a great Nando's restaurany at 100m. Good facility for the car at the supermarket parking closed very near. The neighbourhood is not beautiful nor very quiet by night. Great breakfast !”

We had forgotten to organise dinner in advance, but the chef on site went above & beyond to cook us up the most delicious vegetarian curry. Not only that, they set up a lovely private dining area in our rooms garden to enjoy it in.
