“Decent sized room (stayed in deluxe double) for 2 nights. Admittedly didn’t feel particularly deluxe as the furniture was old and it felt a little tired. Clean enough but could do with a refurb. Car charging onsite was handy and good location without being stuck in city centre.”

“We stayed for 5 nights. We moved from a standard room at the front corner of the hotel as it was noisy and claustrophobic. The en suite having been built into the corner of the room , so all the other stuff ie chairs table wardrobe were squeezed in. The poolside suite which we were kindly moved to was new, spacious had air con and walk in shower ,……. stunning altogether! Such a difference ! Could not fault it !!! “Soluzione molto interessante per la buona posizione rispetto al centro di York (5 mins con taxi) e la bellezza del contesto. L'hotel ricavato presumo da una farm house di qualche secolo fa è accogliente e in ottime condizioni di conservazione, ben manutentato e efficiente. Il personale è estremamente cortese e disponibile. Bellissimo il parco e il giardino botanico / orto nella parte posteriore della struttura. Camere, almeno quelle esterne in cortile, di dimensioni non esagerate ma...

“Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”
