“Just a one night away trip with a couple of days coastal walking. Very smart pub with rooms. In a superior room with high quality fixtures and fittings, very comfortable. Staff all very friendly with an excellent dinner menu and very good breakfast. Only minor issue was how quick dinner service was - would have preferred to have spent longer over our meal. Starter arrived very quickly and the main arrived before we had even finished our starter ! As I say however a minor issue in the overall...

“Had a great stay at the Royal Whitby. Wonderful views of the abbey and harbour. Easy to walk to the harbour and the abbey if you want to try the 199 steps. Lots of great seafood restaurants nearby. A stop in the Whitby tour bus outside too, which will take you to the abbey if you don't fancy the walk”
“I really liked this, used to live in Whitby so like coming home. The food is excellent apart from Trenchers which was down on last years although the service was good.
