“We have never been to Chandidasa before but what a beautiful place. Hotel Genngong was perfect, right on the water where the local fisherman are and you can swim off the beach. Close enough to walk to plenty of places to eat, although the onsite restaurant is very good too. Warung Moka a stones throw away is definitely worth a stop, the food is beautiful and is family run. Rooms a little tired however clean and compared to others in the area much better. Staff are very attentive and so helpful....

“Lovely private pool villa. Quite location with beach at the end of the property. Shops and dining options aplenty only a short walk away. Take a snorkeling trip one one of the local boats and experience turtles , coral and an abundance of fish. Can highly recommended to stay here”

“Fourth trip to Bali, second stay at Puri Bagus. Returned for many reasons. Candidasa is away from the crazy crowds. Beautiful setting. Staff is wonderful. Easy access to activities.
My other stays have been at yoga lodges. While they were nice, they were isolated. To visit another restaurant required hiring a driver. At Puri Bagus it’s an easy walk to Candidasa where there are restaurants, shops, ATMs and other services.
Grounds are well kept. Patios are a nice place to relax...

"La struttura ha moltissimi difetti per un 5 stelle, nonostante sia molto bella e con un personale ottimo e disponibile. Entra luce al mattino presto dalle tende veneziane nella stanza superiore, di contro scarsissima illuminazione la sera (non si vede quasi nulla e non c’è neppure una luce per leggere un libro), sempre dal mattino presto l’housekeeping inizia a suonare i campanelli all’esterno delle ville per rifare le stanze (svegliando tutti), quasi impossibile trovare posto nella SPA in alta stagione (e questo pesa molto perché per trovarne un’altra occorre fare 40 minuti di macchina per andare a Ubud), non c’è palestra, scarsa privacy in quanto nella piscina possono accedere tutti davanti alle ville, colazione solo a’ la carte. Invece di essere rilassante come dovrebbe essere a Ubud, finisce per essere un posto dove non ci si rilassa ne’ si riesce a dormire. Abbiamo segnalato che non siamo riusciti a dormire per la luce e lo scampanellio continuo e in risposta ci hanno offerto due colazioni: ridicolo considerato il disagio e che il nostro soggiorno è stato di sei giorni, spendendo diverse migliaia di euro. Peccato perché potrebbe essere un posto meraviglioso e pieno di pace. "
