One caveat: you must run a gauntlet of rutted, split, potholed driveway to access the hotel, waaay back behind at least three other large buildings in the complex. Think final boss level pathway. Right before you turn in to the parking lot just for the Hampton Inn, it's smooth and fresh.
That's the tone for the rest of the experience at this Hampton Inn. Impeccably managed and staffed, clean, friendly, and comfortable. Weekends bustle with sports team families there for away games. You may hear enthusiastic parades of gymnasts above you! Otherwise, things are pretty quiet.
Some may not like the frosted glass barn door that alternately covers the bathroom or the closet entries, rather than a sound-resistant closing/locking door. We found it charming and convenient.
TV is odd, 41 channels without programming information, and no apps like YouTube or Tubi. It's like 1980s cable TV, but spotty satellite in attractively housed flatscreens.
Breakfast is optimal Hampton fare and arrangement, although fruit was often disappointing quality/freshness. Fantastic breakfast attendant, also! So sweet, even when I drip waffle batter for the 10th time.
Shay and Shanice were who we most often encountered at the front desk, which was terrific. But everyone is genuinely good-natured and seem pleased to work there (a good team makes work so much better!) If your car shocks can handle the journey, this is a peaceful and clean little spot to sleep. Leave extra time for the crawling traffic on 287.
