relaxing getaway

We enjoyed a relaxing one week getaway taking in the local markets and parks. Enjoyed seeing deer and bunnies and yes whales were observed from the many comfortable seating areas available. We appreciated the many little touches from the welcome basket and nice soaps, fuzzy blankets and the blackberries that we were able to pick from the expansive yard. We recommend highly for a nice and relaxing getaway.

Beautiful property and fun little suite with everything you would need. Very clean and comfortable with all the necessities for indoor or outdoor cooking plus a great shower. Spent some good time around the closed fire pit under the stars and good privacy. The basket with local granola/bread were a welcomed bonus. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We really enjoyed the suite. Everything was great! Friendly host, spacious, clean, modern, great view. The hosts leave supplies for a tasty breakfast. My egg was a double yolker. Beautiful view and location.

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway

We needed some time away to relax and this place delivered. The hosts were awesome and provided a nice welcome basket of breakfast items, including fresh eggs! The view of the ocean and surrounding mountainside was spectacular. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer, but we will keep this place in mind the next time we decide to visit.

Perfect peaceful retreat

The generous hosts offer the best VRBO experience we've ever had. This immaculate and well appointed property is secluded with amazing views overlooking the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the Washington State Olympic mountains. Our unit had a unique feature with two garage doors that can be lifted on a warm day to open the whole room to the gorgeous view and fresh air. The hosts have thought of every amenity, including a basket of wonderful foods; local coffee, granola, eggs, a fresh loaf of bread, butter, jam and more. They make themselves available and seem happy to answer questions. It was wonderful to wake up to sound of Sea Lions not far away on the beaches below in the morning, along with flocks of Canada Geese that visit the expansive lawns every day. There are lots of places, beaches and trails to explore on foot or via bicycle in the area. We would go back again. It was a delight.

Best place to stay in Sooke for peaceful getaway with million dollar views

I can’t say enough about Tanya’s Sweet Serenity suite. While it’s part of a bigger complex, you def have your own space and privacy. And what a space - it had everything we needed including a welcome basket with some yummy treats. Tanya has thought of everything. The suite is well stocked with all the kitchen/bathroom and living supplies you need. We loved the outdoor space and watching the ocean (and whales) from the outdoor seating. We even had a family of deer come by a couple of times. The location felt peaceful and secluded but still close to things to do - hikes, beaches, marina and not to far from Victoria. Tanya and was an amazing, kind, responsive host and I would come back in a heartbeat. You should check this place out!!

Unforgettable

The view of this place is just amazing and so peaceful. Tanya and Terry ensured we have everything we need an beyond. The little touches make huge differences, like real flowers in a vase in living room and bathroom, basket of goods we actually would use, like bread, eggs, butter, chocolate :) Would highly recommend the place.

Private with stunning views!

We stayed here 4 nights and the views and the private feel of the property was wonderful. We were able to relax and read our books on the deck without any disruptions and this was really so important for us. We hiked and went into Sooke for groceries and the local folks just completed our stay of good feelings! We already miss it!

Beautiful seaside weekend

This is such a gorgeous space! Clean, fully equipped and beautiful views. Waking up to deer right outside the window was magical. Tanya & Terry are fabulous, warm, welcoming hosts - the welcome basket was such a wonderful treat. We had a lovely stay here, and had no trouble driving out to the regional parks to explore during our weekend. Thanks for such a beautiful stay :)

Serenity, indeed!

Sea of Serenity was exactly as the photos potrayed. Tanya and Terry were wonderful hosts, with helpful suggestions for activities. The suite was simply and tastefully furnished, with all the amenities. A lovely gift basket for breakfast meant we did not need to stop at a grocers.The views of the Olympic Peninsula were good, and seals and sea lions were sighted. We highly reccommend this location!

Among the best!

We spent 4 nights at Sweet Serenity Retreat. My husband and I have stayed at many VRBO's worldwide and this is added to our list of "the best". Tanya and Terry have thoughtfully seen to every detail to assure a memorable and relaxing experience. The very large studio provided plenty of space, the king size bed and luxury linens were divine, the kitchen was well stocked and the welcome basket provided lovely breakfasts for us.
