Beautiful River-front Villa with Natural Pool & Aircon

Villa Heureuse is in a stunning river-front setting, with direct access to the private river-front and a natural pool for swimming. It has many terraces on four different levels with fruit trees and Mediterranean plants. These spaces are perfect for sharing a meal with a group of people or simply sitting and soaking in the relaxing sound of the river.

It is comfortable and well-equipped including split aircon in the main living area and a mobile aircon in the upper bedroom. The villa is located only 20 minutes’ drive from the nearest beaches in Argèles (offering a wide range of water sports). There are also lots of lovely parts of the valley to explore on your doorstep such as the nearby waterfall. There are many walks starting in the valley that take you up into the Albères within an hour, offering breathtaking views over the sea and the nearby villages. Other nearby locations include the beautiful castle and picturesque town of Collioure; local markets (we recommend the Céret market famous for offering mainly local produce); the underwater nature reserve between Port Vendres and Banyuls that can be explored by Kayak, snorkelling, or both; or the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres (Spain).
There is also a separate appartment on the lower level with it's own entrance and terraces which can be booked separately if your group is larger than 8 people.

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette villa très confortable et accueillante. L'accès privé à la rivière ainsi que faune et flore alentour font l'atout de cette maison, les enfants ont adoré se baigner dans la piscine naturelle...et nous aussi. James fait tout pour que vous ne manquiez de rien durant votre séjour tout en cultivant la discrétion.Très belle découverte...

La maison correspond à la description. Le fait que chaque chambre ai une salle de bain est vraiment un plus. La maison est grande avec 3 terrasses autour. La rivière en contre bas est un gros plus pour se rafraîchir en été ! Nos enfants ont adoré s’y baigner. Pour une famille ce lieu est idéal ! La mer n’est pas loin, 20min en voiture. James est discret mais réponds à nos questions et à nos demandes.

Toller Urlaub in traumhafter Umgebung

Wir haben als Familie mit 2 Erwachsenen und 4 Kindern (5-16Jahre) zwei wunderschöne Wochen in Sorede verbracht. Der Fluss hatte auch im August viel Wasser, so dass wir, genau wie in der Beschreibung, herrlich im Becken schwimmen und von den Felsen springen konnten. Das Haus ist sehr groß und geräumig und hat viele Terrassen, so dass man auch immer wieder Schatten findet. James war ein sehr freundlicher und zurückhaltender Gastgeber, der auf dem angenzenden Grundstück wohnte.

Points positifs : beau coin repas, avec cuisine très bien aménagée.Deux grandes chambres au RDC avec salle d'eau et wc. 3 ème salle de bain avec douche et baignoire, et 3 ème wc indépendant. Cadre extérieur magnifique et bien entretenu. Bel endroit pour ceux qui veulent se déconnecter. Belle terrasse sur le toit. Baby foot à l'intérieur et table de ping-pong à l'extérieur. Points négatifs : les deux autres chambres sont sous les combles, dont une sur le palier. Il y fait très très chaud. Présence de ventilateur mais insuffisant. Piscine naturelle : plutôt un bassin qui découle de la rivière, mais comme il n'y a pas beaucoup d'eau, le bassin contient de l'eau stagnante avec faune et flore. Nous n'avons pas eu envie de nous y baigner. Heureusement, la plage est à 20mn en voiture. La maison reste un lieu agréable malgré tout, le propriétaire James est très sympathique.

Nous avons passé un super séjour grâce à James, qui a été un hôte très sympathique et très discret. Tout s’est parfaitement bien déroulé, l’accueil a été chaleureux et nous n’avons absolument rien à redire.Le cadre est idyllique, avec une petite rivière sauvage en contrebas de la maison, ce qui rend le lieu encore plus charmant et reposant. De plus, il y a plein d’activités à faire aux alentours : entre les randonnées dans les montagnes et la mer toute proche, chacun y trouve son bonheur.Un logement agréable, un hôte attentif et une situation exceptionnelle : nous recommandons sans hésiter !!!

Das Haus hat eine super Lage am Fluss. Bis zum Strand sind es nur ein paar Kilometer, jedoch sollte man aufgrund der Straßen (entweder sehr kaputt oder alle paar Hundert Meter Temposchwellen) 20 bis 30 Minuten einplanen. Vor Ort kann man zum Beispiel eine Flusswanderung machen oder auch hoch in die Pyrenäen fahren zum wandern mit toller Aussicht. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet, wie auch schon in vielen anderen Bewertungen beschrieben. Es sind 2 normale Schlafzimmer im EG und in der oberen Etage könnten 4 Kinder schlafen (für Erwachsene eher ungeeignet). Wir hatten einen tollen Sommerurlaub und möchten uns bei den netten Vermietern bedanken.

La maison est très bien située, le cadre extérieur est vraiment sympa. Mais l'intérieur manque de confort, notamment la literie. Par ailleurs, elle était poussiėreuse. L'annonce mentionne 4 chambres, mais il y a en fait deux vraies chambres, et un grenier aménagé, petit, avec 4 lits en dortoir en soupente, qui conviendraient à 4 enfants, plus difficilement à des adultes et pas du tout à deux couples. L'annonce manque de précision à ce propos.

Ein traumhafter Platz

Wir haben mit 3 Erwachsenen und 6 Kindern im Alter von 1,5 - 15 Jahren 2 wunderbare Wochen Ende Juli 2020 hier verbracht. Wir bewohnten das Haus, nicht das (quasi im Keller liegende) Appartment. 2 ordentliche Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss verfügen jeweils über integrierte Dusche, WC, Waschbecken, durch eine seitlich offene Wand vom Raum abgetrennt. Darüber hinaus gibt es im Erdgeschoss ein eigenständiges Bad mit Dusche und Wanne, sowie ein eigenständiges WC. Im Obergeschoss stehen 2 Betten im offenen Flur, 2 weitere in einer durch eine Schiebetür hiervon abgetrennten Kammer. 2 unserer Jungs haben es vorgezogen, mit Isomatratze und offenem Schlafsack auf der Dachterasse unter dem Sternenhimmel zu schlafen. Wohnküche und Wohnzimmer liegen hinterteinander in einem eigenen Trakt, keine gegenseitige Lärmberlästigung mit den Schlafräumen. Die Einrichtung des Hauses besteht aus gebraucht zusammengewürfeltem Allerlei, nicht außerordentlich aufeinander abgestimmt, aber ok. Die Küchenausstattung funktioniert, ist aber eher auf 4-6 Personen ausgelegt. Die alte Waschmaschine hat keine Temparertur mehr gehabt, sollte aber nach unserer Mitteilung hierüber demnächst ersetzt werden. Jedes Zimmer des Hauses hat eigenen Austritt, auf Terasse oder Balkon oder den gefliesten Hof. Es gibt diverses Spielzeug, Tischtennis, Bücher und Brettspiele. Die Bilder beschreiben sehr genau, was diesen Ort so einzigartig macht: Der Bach verläuft direkt hinter dem Haus, das über offene Terassenflächen direkt dahin anschließt. Der obere Teil des Baches ist auch gut zum Planschen mit Kleinkindern geeignet, unterhalb des Wasserfalls läßt sich gut schwimmen, Boot fahren, genau so, wie Bilder und Film es zeigen - das abgebildete Bötchen hatte uns der Vermieter ebenfalls zur Verfügung gestellt. Wir hatten wegen Corona einen Ort gesucht, an dem wir möglichst autonom, ohne viel Fremdkontakt und die Erfordernis von Strandbesuchen, Urlaub machen konnten - das hat hier wunderbar funktioniert. Der Bach samt Wasserfall wird hin und wieder auch mal von ein paar Anwohner aus dem Dorf besucht, aber immer so überschaubar und begrenzt, dass es uns nicht gestört hat. In der 2. Woche war das Appartment "im Keller" auch bewohnt, man hat sich nett gegrüßt und ansonsten nicht gestört. Die Vermieter Carolyn und James sind freundlich und gelassen, wobei wir live nur Kontakt zu James hatten, der am Tage nach unserer Ankunft noch eine Markise auf dem Balkon vor der Küche anbrachte.

Maison agréable mais manque d’entretien

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, le cadre est effectivement apaisant et reposant, la maison est fonctionnelle mais je pense adaptée à 6 personnes. Nous etions deux couples avec trois enfants accompagnés de papy. Idéalement il aurait fallu une banquette lit dans le salon. Le frigo est trop petit pour le nombre de personnes également, la cafetière n’est pas adaptée à 6 personnes non plus. La maison a du potentiel dommage qu’elle ne soit pas suffisamment entretenue à l’intérieur (peintures à prévoir histoire de redonner un coup de neuf). Le ménage n’était pas suffisant selon nous, surtout pendant cette période Covid. Le jardin est agréable, la table de pong pong une très bonne idée : les enfants ont adoré. La maison pourrait franchement être superbe avec quelques petits travaux car il y a tout pour passer de bonnes vacances. Nous pensons que quelques améliorations sont à prévoir pour la maison afin de la rendre plus accueillante. Le véritable atout c est le jardin avec cette vue sur la rivière et ce cadre effectivement reposant. Nous avons passé malgré tout d’agréables vacances en famille mais avons dû faire le ménage à l’arrivée dommage! Surtout après fait 10h de route...

Wunderschön

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in diesem wunderschönem Haus. Es steht einfach am perfekten Ort wenn man gerne in der Natur ist. Unsere Kinder haben es dort auch sehr genossen. In Laufnähe ist ein schöner Schilkrötenpark und ein sehenswerter Sonnenofen. Die Wanderwege sind auch super. Und die Strände in ca 20 min erreichbar. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympatisch und es war bestimmt nicht unser letzter Urlaub in diesem Haus.

Huis staat op een schitterende locatie. Het is een ruim huis met 3 badkamers.

Heerlijk huis waar we met onze 2 zoons (20 en 17) 2 weken hebben doorgebracht. Het huis heeft 2 grote slaapkamers beneden en boven 4 x1 persoonsbedden. Rustige locatie, mooi strand op 20 minuten afstand. We hebben Gerona bezocht. We zijn naar het Dali museum geweest. Cultuur en natuur in overvloed. In het huis is een wasmachine, vaatwasser, oven etc.. Om het huis overal gezellige zitjes. Er is een dakterras, balkon, je kan bij de rivier zitten, naast het huis een overkapping waar je heerlijk kan BBQ'en. Tafeltennis tafel is veel gebruikt. We hadden mountainbikes bij ons, maar die zijn 1x gebruikt. Na jaren kamperen is dit huis ons zeer goed bevallen. Het is een huis waarin geleefd wordt. Geen luxe meubelen oid, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren!!

Abseits vom touristischen Trubel der Küste

Mit 2 Familien haben wir hier im Aug 18 zwei tolle Wochen verbracht. Die Lage am Fluss und dem Badegumpen ist genial. Ein Pool hätte weniger Erlebnis gebracht (Staudämme, Umleiten des Wassers, Mutproben, Tauchen u.v.m.) Das Haus liegt "ab vom Schuss". Ein Auto ist unabdingbar. Caroline und James sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Sie wohnten während unseres Aufenthalts im Souterrain, in der Fewo. Wir sind uns überhaupt nicht in die Quere bekommen. Einige der vorherigen Reisenden haben sich negativ über die Sauberkeit des Objektes geäußert. Ich möchte es so ausdrücken: wer ein hohes Maß an Sauberkeit zum Wohlfühlen braucht, wird sich hier nicht wohl fühlen. Unsere Urlaubsfreude hat das Thema jedoch nicht getrübt. Aber hier sind die Maßstäbe einfach sehr individuell. Zum Strand fährt man mit dem Auto ca. 15-20 Min (Argeles-Plage). In der Hauptsaison ist die Küste extrem überlaufen. Es war jedes Mal eine Wohltat wieder in die Ruhe des Tals zurück zu kehren und den Trubel hinter uns zu lassen. Was falsche Vorstellungen hervorrufen könnte ist die Tatsache, dass in der Hausbeschreibung Bilder vom Haus & vom Appartement gemeinsam abgebildet sind. Das Haus verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer im EG. Über eine Wendeltreppe steigt man vom Flur in die 1. Etage. Dort stehen direkt zwei Einzelbetten. Der kleine Raum ist durch die Treppe zum EG "offen". Es schließt sich ein verschließbares Zimmer mit zwei weiteren Einzelbetten an. Im Hochsommer ist es dort oben wirklich sehr heiß. Luftzirkulation bekommt man hin, wenn man alle Türen und Fenster offen hält. Die oberen Zimmer haben wenig Ambiente aber sind zweckmäßig. Alles in allem haben wir unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Haus ist so verwinkelt und weitläufig, dass jeder einen Rückzugsort findet, wenn er ihn benötigt. Den Charme des Hauses macht seine einzigartige Lage am Fluss/See aus. Für unkomplizierte, positive Menschen, die die Lage in der Natur und das Wasserplätschern schätzen, können wir das Haus sehr empfehlen. Belle semaine en vallée heureuse !

Séjour très agréable dans cet appartement spacieux, bien équipé et avec une vue magnifique sur le jardin et la rivière. La petite terrasse attenante à la maison est ombragée et apaisante. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et soucieux de notre confort. La mer est à environ 15 mn (plage du Racou) et Banyuls à 25 mn. C'est un endroit où l'on se sent bien et où l'on a envie de revenir...malgré quelques moustiques attirés par la rivière eux aussi! Corinne et Eric.

Beaucop de charme mais ...

J'ai adoré l'appartement, comme un écrin de verdure juste en bordure du torrent; il mériterait cependant que les proprietaires fassent plus régulièrement un ménage approfondi.

We spent three weeks in the apartment in Sorede and had a very good time. There was a lot of space, a beautiful environment and the apartment was good. A very nice place to spent your holidays!
