Camp-Out at Hostel SoHa

Hostel SoHa is two 5,000 square foot buildings on 7 acres of private land in the process of being renovated into the first traveler's hostel in west Michigan. If you are unfamiliar with hostels, we recommend you read about them before booking. This summer we are welcoming backpackers, tent campers, hikers, bike-packers, van and bus lifers, RVers, or just your average young adult in search of a fun and social space to the property for overnight parking, camping, and fun events.

There is NO indoor sleeping accommodation at this time; this is for campers with access to indoor common spaces. You can either book an adventurous stay in one of our outdoor sleeping hammocks BYO sleeping bag and pillow (bug net included, rain tarp coming soon), pitch your own tent, or bring your camping rig of choice with a space in the parking lot.

LOCATION

We are located directly off M-43 and only a 5 minute drive to the beach; downtown South Haven; and Walmart, Aldi, and Meijer. We are also a 5 minute drive from the Kal-Haven trailhead and can help hikers and bike-packers arrange a pick up or drop off from there.

AGE RESTRICTION

This fun and central location is best suited for adults ages 18-35, but we welcome anyone over 16 looking for this social experience. The indoor bedrooms are not open yet and the land is in the process of being developed but this is still a social and individuals staying should come prepared to interact with other guests in the shared spaces. There will be events weekly that are not suitable for families with children or individuals who are looking for a quiet getaway.

AMENITIES

There are shared indoor bathrooms (showers not open yet) and an indoor common area with tables and seating, a phone charging station, pool and ping pong tables, lockers for valuables (BYO lock), and a fridge. There is a lit outdoor picnic and bonfire social space with yard games. There is WiFi and an onsite store coming soon.
