Island Nights is one of those cottages. Tucked among towering trees in South Haven's Eaton Park neighborhood, this classic lakeshore retreat has welcomed generations of family vacations, beach days, and evenings spent together long before vacation rentals became a thing. In fact, the cottage once served as the caretaker's home for historic Sleepy Hollow, adding another chapter to its rich South Haven story.



The heart of the home isn't just one room—it's wherever everyone naturally gathers. Start the day in the inviting family room with coffee and conversation before heading to the beach, then return in the evening to relax by the beautiful stone fireplace as stories from the day unfold. Filled with books, nautical touches, and timeless cottage charm, the home embraces the slower pace that has drawn families to Lake Michigan for generations.



Just beyond the living spaces, the screened porch quickly becomes everyone's favorite place to be. Whether you're lingering over breakfast, escaping the afternoon sun with a good book, playing cards after dinner, or listening to the sounds of summer as the day winds down, it's easy to lose track of time here. It's the kind of porch that reminds you why family cottages become family traditions.



The fully equipped kitchen makes gathering around food easy, whether you're packing a cooler for the beach, preparing a favorite family dinner, or serving late-night ice cream after sunset. The adjacent dining area and breakfast bar offer plenty of room to reconnect over meals before planning the next day's adventures.



When it's time to recharge, Island Nights comfortably accommodates families with three welcoming bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a queen bed, while the second bedroom includes a queen bed along with twin bunk beds—perfect for young adventurers. The third bedroom offers two twin beds, giving everyone a comfortable place to settle in after long days in the sun.



Outside, the large wooded yard provides plenty of room for lawn games, morning coffee, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings. After returning from the beach, rinse off the sand in the convenient outdoor hot-and-cold shower before settling in for another relaxing evening.



One of Island Nights' greatest treasures is its private Eaton Park beach access, located just a short walk from the cottage. Spend the day swimming, searching for beach glass, watching spectacular Lake Michigan sunsets, or simply enjoying the shoreline before returning home to continue making memories together.

The Eaton Park neighborhood has been part of South Haven's summer story for generations. Tucked beneath a canopy of mature trees and centered around a private association beach, it's a place where families return year after year to reconnect with one another and the lake.



From Island Nights, it's an easy walk to the beach for a morning swim or an evening sunset, while downtown South Haven is just a short drive away for shopping, dining, ice cream, and all of the charm that makes this lakeshore town a favorite vacation destination.



Eaton Park is a quiet residential community where many homes have been cherished by the same families for generations. We ask our guests to help preserve the peaceful atmosphere by being respectful of neighbors, observing quiet hours, and treating the beach and neighborhood as if they were your own. A little courtesy goes a long way in keeping this special place enjoyable for everyone.



Getting Around:

This property is walkable to nearby beaches, but is a bit too far out of town to walk. It's about 15 minutes into downtown by car, depending on the traffic (and the drawbridge!).

Parking: Driveway parking for up to 4 Vehicles.

Pets: No Pets

Beach Access: 300 yards + 75 steps

We provide an after-hours emergency phone number to call in case an issue arises outside of our standard business hours. Additionally, we provide you with a mobile SMS number that you can text for non-emergency issues.
