Welcome to South Lake Tahoe! This 2BR/2BA custom cottage (sleeps 6) feels like home…but with incredibly pristine natural beauty just beyond the front door! Walk or drive to South Lake Tahoe’s best parks and beaches. Hit the mountains for scenic skiing and hiking. Or stroll to dinner! Try Café Fiore for Italian, Blue Angel Café for pub fare, and Nepheles for Californian cuisine -- all within a few minutes’ walk.

Or don’t go anywhere at all: this cottage has a lovely fenced, grassy backyard that’s perfect for leisurely afternoons. Play a card game at the outdoor table while the kids play tag!

INSIDE THE COTTAGE

Inside, wood and travertine floors add a luxury touch. So do the custom kitchen cabinets and stainless steel appliances in the gourmet kitchen. Meanwhile, high ceilings and an open-concept layout make this the perfect group retreat. Hang out together, but also tuck away for quiet alone time, too!

Cook dinner in the full kitchen, which is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, dishes, and glassware you need to cook and eat. The dining table sits up to six.

Both bedrooms are upstairs. The first has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds. Two more can sleep on the futon in the separate den. Speaking of the den: this bonus room is the perfect place to escape with a book or watch a movie on the small TV.

There are two full bathrooms: one upstairs with the bedrooms and one downstairs by the front door. The upstairs bathroom has a tub/shower combination, while the downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower.

Tahoe is home to many animals. You may experience bears, raccoons, mice, and other animals. Meadows are home to many rodents. When these areas are filled with water or snow, these animals move to homes in the area. You may experience these animals in or near your home.

Enjoy an unbeatable location on Aspen Avenue. Walk to many South Lake Tahoe highlights including beaches, restaurants, parks, and more. And we’re just over a mile to Heavenly Mountain Ski Resort for year-round mountain adventures!

When you get hungry, you don’t have to get in the car to grab something delicious. Blue Angel Café is a 2-minute walk. Or walk a few minutes to Café Fiore for Italian fare and an extensive wine list to go with it. A mile in the other direction takes you to countless more food options on Lake Tahoe Boulevard. This rental is truly in the center of it all!

THE FINE PRINT

In response to South Lake Tahoe County's ordinance on short term rentals, we are operating under STVR License #005771. As per the ordinance, this vacation rental cannot be used for any type of parties, including weddings and receptions. Maximum allowable City occupancy is 6 people and 1 cars; over occupancy will be subject to City citation/fine. Please note that we have a strict NO PARTY policy; failure to comply will result in eviction.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Tgus was the perfect house for us located 3 minutes away from the casinos and 4 minutes from the Cali side of heavenly mountain . The place was clean and we were happy . The dog came with which was huge for us cause we love our boys and they had a blast

This is a nice, updated house in a great location close to everything. The overall communication process with the property management company was relatively easy in advance of and during our trip. The house itself is very nice. It's modern, the appliances are high quality, and it really has nice finishings. We loved the fenced yard since we had two dogs with us. We did have to have property management get a pest control company out after check-in, as we killed three spiders within an hour of being there. The upstairs shower only put out freezing cold water, but luckily we could use the downstairs shower during our stay. Property management did offer to send over a handyman, but with COVID, we decided to limit our exposure to another person. My main complaint about the house though is that it really didn't seem clean. I found what appeared to be a puddle of spilled/dried soda in the loft that I had to clean up, and one of the placemats on the kitchen table had dried pasta sauce on it. Behind the futon was also full of debris. Those things made us question in general how clean the house was, and also made us slightly irrigated to be paying a large cleaning fee for an unclean house. Aside from that, we did have a nice stay.

This home is perfect for my family of 4. We really enjoyed staying in the home. I couldn't give it 5 stars because we couldn't get the hot water on the upstair bathroom to work, there a little bit of dog's hair on the duvet of the master bedroom, and lastly the neighbor was parting all night one night of our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed the comfort of this home.

The property was in good shape and provided all the basics for a short stay. A very nice yard. The rental could be improved by adding a hot tub, which seems to be fairly standard in most Lake Tahoe rentals. The master bed should be a king size, not the small full/queen. Disappointed with the very limited cable TV channels, particularly the upstairs TV which had no cable TV channels. The master should have a TV of its own.

My family just got back from a nightmare stay. The home we rented was freezing for a full 24 hours, with heat running non-stop. Upon arrival, we noticed there was animal hair all over the furniture, bedding, pillows and stairs. There was also dirt and dust all over the entertainment center, table and stair case. We also acknowledged there was a weird rectangular cut in the ceiling but we tried not to think too much about the hole. I text to complain once I finally had a moment and they promised a cleaning lady would arrive at noon the next day. She didnt. We were stuck at the home an entire hour before contacting them again and realizing the cleaning lady wasnt on her way. In this time, we noticed that water dripped from that strange cut out in the ceiling when anyone showered in the upstairs bathroom. They admitted someone "dropped the ball" and didnt fix the water leak the week prior to our arrival and said I needed to make myself available for a handy man to come. One client relations rep said no one would enter the home without our permission and then another told me that they fix what they need to fix and will send someone when they can and I would have to deal with it. I argued that they didnt have my permission to enter the home and luckily was able to speak with another guest relations specialist and they promised that if I didnt use the upstairs bathroom, I could receive a discount on my stay. They then scheduled for cleaning staff to arrive at 6pm, which resulted in another span of wasted time because no one showed up, again! I reached out and nothing was done. Another issue I had was theres a window in the downstairs bathroom that doesnt have a curtain and the places next to the rental can very clearly see you naked inside the shower. I hated that. It was also freezing in that specific bathroom, however, I didnt want to tolerate being flaked on by the handyman or wasting more of my time sitting in the rental when I wanted to play with my kids in the snow. I didnt drive 3 hours to stay in the rental all weekend. Also, I asked for the wifi password and that information was never relayed back to me. I had to fix the upstairs television because the cable wasnt working properly. And lastly, my husband fell down the stairs. The stairs were very slippery. I wish there was a sign up because when my husband slipped his arm got caught in the railing. They basically acted like I was lying but my husband still has visible signs of his injury.

We stayed here over the weekend and had the best time. The house was very clean and there were a lot of pans and condiments to use in the kitchen. It was fully stocked, unlike some we’ve stayed at. The best part was having a fenced in yard for our young children to roam around. The garage was a plus too, as the height was much higher than normal so we were able to drive right in with our cargo box on. This will definitely be our go-to house when we’re in Tahoe. It’s close to everything and the house is in great condition.

We had a great stay in this property. Great location, plenty of space for our family of 3, great amenities, excellent communication. The only downside was the fish odor emanating from the fridge, minor inconvenience for an otherwise fantastic stay.
