“There is huge issue of being able to get in to check in. There are cars backed up into traffic. Their answer was that they would need to get permits from two states to get the work done. You have the space. Get the permits.
There are too many surprise extra charges. You can only valet park and they charge $50 to valet park and $50 for the hotel fee which doesn’t give you much. The bar in the front was closed and we didn’t dare leave the property to go to dinner because we may not get back in...

“The hotel bedrooms are spacious and of good quality but there was a horrible smoke smell, which actually made our family feel a bit sick by the end of our stay.
The hotel is dated and needs a refurb asap.
All staff wet encountered on the reception desk were a little miserable. Despite the good price, overall I would recommend avoiding Ballys.”

“The rating on Expedia is completely inaccurate. Go look at Yelp. Pros 1) dogs are allowed 2) clean 3) near restaurants and shopping. Otherwise we felt ripped off paying $400 per night 1) there was no human at the lobby and so of course it was locked. There’s an advert that says free newspapers in the lobby! We didn’t need extra towels but I don’t know how we would’ve done that 2) the cleaning lady was nice but she started cleaning before our 11 am checkout. 3) the pool had a lot of bugs 4)...
