Convenient location and quiet stay

We liked the apartment and would stay again. It was within easy walking centre of the town yet quiet. We were lucky that there were sufficient inexpensive paid parking spaces close to the entrance of the apartment. Needing to have an access code to enter the building, and another for the lift was a slight nuisance but do-able. As the lift is quite small, and social distancing etc, it would have been nice to have the option of using stairs. The email 'discussions' before going were responsive and clear.

The apartment was beautiful! Very clean and spacious, felt very luxurious. The view was lovely especially at night time when everything was lit up, the only negative to the building was some days walking into the the foyer, smelt a bit off. The parking was a bit of an issue having to ensure you were awake everyday at 8am to sort out your parking ticket. Otherwise myself and my partner had a very lovely relaxed stay and would definitely recommend :)

Don't stay here - better options elsewhere

Do not stay here. The property is located in an area surrounded by students so expect loud and rowdy people shouting on the street outside at 2-3am (most nights). Don't expect to sleep with the window shut either as the heating is ridiculously hot even after following the basic instructions to turn it down/off. The iron spurts brown liquid over your garments that doesn't wash out. After speaking to the somewhat rude owner, no compensation was offered... Don't expect to cook in the kitchen as there is little to no cooking equipment. I stay in the city a lot for business and this is the worst place I have stayed in. There are other much better options elsewhere at a similar price - stay in them.

A good place to stay in Dublin, would recommend...

The key apartments is a good place to live, lots of local restaurant, and walking/Uber is a good option go get to City Center. It's a small place, but clean and nice. You can hear people chatting outside late in the night (there is no A/C so windows were open), but never felt unsafe.

Not quite what we were expecting

This accommodation was not quite what we were expecting, when the address says Oceanfront then we were expecting to be able to see the ocean but the building itself is onto the Marina which you can only see when on the balcony not from the lounge or bedrooms!! One of the window catches in the master bedroom had broken which meant the window did not seal so the wind was howling around all night. The window blind also does not fit the window very well and light is visable all around glad we were there in the winter and not summer. Beware of the shower controls in the ensuite they are very very stiff and can cease up. The dishwasher wasn't very clean. Nice bed linens and towels all very clean. Tea, coffee and sugar plus cleaning stuffs supplied. The apartment seems a bit tired and could do with some TLC and a good clean. We emailed about the window and shower the owner did come in that day to sort. When we came to leave the gate into the underground car park was being repaired which meant we were blocked in for 3 hours. Read any notices by the lifts!!

Great location, spacious with comfy beds.

The apartment we stayed in Empress Heights, was in a great location. Big and spacious, with comfy beds in each room. Plenty of towels and extra bedding. It was carpeted throughout, which carried a scent. Could do with a slight freshen up with some of the furtinure and the carpet to hard flooring. Overall satisfied with our stay.

Great location, lovely apartment

We stayed for 3 days and were blown away by the apartment. It was clean, quiet and beautifully presented. Add to that a perfect location with restaurants and a play park within walking distance. We could not have asked for more. Communication with the hosts was perfectly judged and we felt they really wanted to make our stay extra special - highly recommended

Overall we were not happy with our short stay

Collected key from building security. He grumbled that apartment should not be sub-let, but gave me the key anyway. When we got to apartment, it had not been cleaned. Called and emailed agent. Got a call back 30 mins later to say cleaner was at building, but we had the only key. I had to leave my lunch and go back to let her in. Then there was a problem that she didn't know we wanted two single beds made-up for our kids, which she didn't have sheets for. We resolved by pushing the two singles together and using double bed sheets. There was no follow-up from agent afterwards to make sure we were sorted. Double bed mattress was very soft and the bed was very creaky. Dishwasher did not work. Apartment was generally clean and well presented but overall we were not happy with our two-night stay.

Very easy access to apartment. Well organised. Apartment was very clean and had all the facilities that you would need. I’m so happy that we chose this apartment and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great apartment for your stay

Easy directions supplied and the area is very nice. Clean apartment with all the amenities you require. Could easily use this as a base for a week or more. Tesco express very handy for your essentials with a good choice of bars and restaurants on your door step.

Different but nice

The taxi cost from the airport was 22 euros which was several miles to the apartment. The building seems to be a converted medical facility gone condo, with 2 bed rooms 2 bathrooms (1st- shower and 2nd- large tub) with a full kitchen. Keep in mind that there is no A/C yet, fans were provided which worked for our stay in May. There is no “hotel like” office so, the key is in a lock box in the rear of the building. The unit was very quiet which was nice with pleasant tenants. The apartment is within walking distance to many restaurants, bars, super market and shopping on High Street. All in all, great stay for 2 and better for a family, 10 euros for taxi to the near cruise ship facility. Thanks, Chris and Neil

Well equipped, modern apartment, with good view

Only have good things to say about our stay...smooth check in, private underground parking, bright, modern apartment, very clean, beds comfortable, beautiful white towels and bedding, panoramic view. We became ' cruise ship spotters' , watching them depart at tea time and getting up early to see the new ones arrive. Helpful owners, only a text away. Will definitely be going back.
