“They were very nice to me respectful.And I got a heck of a deal.I really needed to stay.I'm homeless and i'm disabled so I wish I can get some free nights and I have tremors too and I was shaking around back today but I got through it all and they were good”

“Room was clean and comfortable. We had to search for staff to check in. The 2 phone numbers on the desk to call for assistance fid not connect to staff at the hotel. Icemaker was non functional and leaking water in the hallway. Breakfast was ok for a continental with hot waffle.”

“Carpet was wet and made the room smell musty. The one chair in the room made an obnoxiously loud squeaking noise every time you leaned back. Not enough towels or toilet paper - had to ask for more on day 2 of our stay. Will not be staying at this hotel again.”

“The mattress was comfortable and the room clean. The staff were terrible, difficult to locate at both check in and check out. All entrance doors did not work. Breakfast was barely anything--muffins, coffee, and juice. No fruit, or eggs.”

“This was a nice place to stay, but for some reason there was a portable A/C unit in our room (the main A/C didn't work) and this was quite noisy and inconvenient and stopped working properly for a portion of our stay. But the staff was friendly and the breakfast was great.”

“We love Die Heimat. It’s close to everything Amana and is just a short drive to Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. Karin provided excellent care for us and made sure we had everything we needed. We felt at home at the Inn. The area is peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend stay here 😊”

“The room was overall great, but the parking was a problem. The event we were at ran long, and when we returned, there was a truck with a boat taking up about 5-6 parking spots. This area is very small tight and parking is a premium, so parking large boats should be prohibited.”

“I always enjoy staying at hotel Millwork- centrally located, unique transformation of an old woolen mill into a modern hotel. This stay was overall good. 4/5 only because they’re one option for breakfast, which is their restaurant, was not operational the morning I left because apparently the waitress didn’t show up. There were very few other options in the Amana‘s for breakfast and the staff really had no solution to the problem. Otherwise, a good stay.”

“We stayed at this hotel because of the good ratings and because it was cheaper than hotels in Cedar Rapids. It is only about a 10 minute drive off of I-380 on an easy four lane road. The breakfast was great and everything was very clean. Staff was very friendly and competent. Bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.”

“All good - the room was clean and nice, the breakfast was good and somewhat varied, the staff was excellent and helpful. A fair amount of construction in the area during our stay, but didn’t impact our ability to get in or out much, so no worries. Pleasant shuttle service.”

“The room was clean, getting there was another story. Outdoor garbage was overflowing, inside garbage was overflowing, there were empty beer bottles on the tables in the lobby and no one was around. The elevators were filthy, was worried what our room was going to look like. However, it was clean and cool, the bed was comfy. It is literally right next to interstate 80 so the traffic noise is real.”

“Always a solid experience with Holiday Inn Express…this location was perfect for our needs in all ways!”

“The elevator was slow and there was some things in the hotel that need to be repaired and made nice again, but overall the room was clean and close to the airport. They had games available so it’s family friendly in that way. The ac stayed cold which is always good. Overall it was a good stay and we would stay again.”

“It is a good hotel and I would consider staying there again. I have two complaints; the first is that the TV never really worked properly while we were there. It kept losing the signal. The second issue is that the housekeeper would blast his (bad) music while he was working. It was so loud that you could hear it down the hallway even with the room door closed. That definitely was not very relaxing.”
