  • Take some time to relax and reconnect with nature at this beautifully furnished home in Southwest Harbor! This is one of two units in the home, which sit side by side and share a middle wall in a duplex-style layout. You'll be just a short drive from beautiful Acadia National Park, where you can hike its many breathtaking trails and take in the sights. Stroll down to the beach and relax with a cold drink in hand as you soak up the sun. The Claremont Hotel is right next door, with fantastic dining options, a small bakery, and a bar. Other great local attractions include Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, Bar Harbor Whale Watch, Acadian Boat Tours, Wild Gardens of Acadia, and Bubble Rock.

    Step inside this three-story retreat and settle into the welcoming living room, with inviting sofas, a wood stove to keep you warm, plenty of books and magazines, and a TV with cable. It's a wonderful spot to unwind and make lasting memories with your loved ones! At mealtime, whip up something special in the well-appointed kitchen, or toss some burgers and veggies on the gas grill for a classic barbecue on the deck with great ocean views. The first floor has a private reading nook stocked with books and one bedroom, and the upper floor has two more bedrooms.

    Things to Know
    This home has two units that share a middle wall, similar to a duplex. Please be mindful of noise out of respect for guests next door.
    The Claremont Hotel is right next door, so guests may hear some noise from hotel activities, events, and visitors.
    Check-in time: 4:00 PM.
    Check-out time: 10:00 AM.
    All guests must follow The Good Neighbor Policy and may not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
    No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Relaxing Coastal Views

The space was perfect for our needs, the view was amazing, and the toiletries and kitchen were all really well equipped. There is a path directly to the beach where there is much fun to be had searching for the perfect shell. Would definitely stay there again!

Great spot and had everything we needed. Separation of space was great to have child and parents on top floor and grandparents downstairs with shared space on middle floor.

The location of Southside can't be beat! A path to the beach AND being next door to the Claremont was perfect! Couldn't ask for a better spot!

Family vacation

We loved our stay. Property allowed our son and daughter ages 26 and 23 appreciated their own space. Property was clean and had great beds as well as everything else our family needed to be comfortable. We would definitely stay there again if we have opportunity to return to the area and enjoy Acadia National Park in the future.

Great location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Southwest Harbor! The grounds were beautiful - gorgeous flowers and landscaping and great access to the private beach that our two small dogs loved exploring! The residence was clean and had what we needed. We loved exploring the island and Acadia. Our neighbors were friendly and shared some great tips and favorite spots around the area! Thanks for a great spot for an extended family vacation!

Great location, but thin wall between the rental next door

The location is fantastic, with the beach, The Claremont, and a lobster-serving pier a short walk away. It was very clean. However, we could hear the neighbors on the other side of the rental quite clearly and we could smell the fish they fried for hours.

Great Water Front Property

The house is clean and comfortable, master bedroom has a view of the ocean. A nearby hotel made it easy to get settled in and walk to the hotel for dinner on our first night. We didn't use the kitchen but is was very nice. Loved that there was a washer and dryer, we planned to pack 1 suitcase and do laundry there as it was our halfway spot of the trip. Will return if I an ever back in that area. Thanks

Cozy stay

This property is a cute, cozy place, and served our needs adequately. I docked one star only because when we arrived, we found a breaker needed to be flipped for the upstairs bedroom lights to work, and we did not have access to the breaker box. When I contacted the mgmt. company, they told us where the breaker box was located, but it was in a locked closet and we did not have access to a key. We wound up never getting access to it and did not have lights for the upstairs while we were there. Not a huge deal as we were only there two nights and were gone most of the time, but I would really recommend giving renters access to that breaker box.
