Our overnight stay was absolutely wonderful! The décor throughout was charming and beautifully suited to the historic character of the building—it felt like stepping back in time, but with every modern comfort. “We were on motorbikes and the owner was very welcoming, allowing us to park the bikes on the hard-standing in front of the house (inside the property boundary so at no risk of being booked for parking on the pavement where there are double yellow lines).
The rooms (we were on the top floor in 10 & 14) were great, they were en-suite and quiet. Sure the floorboards creak a bit and the decoration was a little tired but I have stayed in Travelodges that were much smaller, noisier and dirtier but had...

But we found a lot of hairs in the shower and some around the room, good temperature but not good cleaning, also the mugs for tea were dirty from previous usage. No lift. The waitress at the breakfast probably hates her job, was quite cold and served a very burned toast, at my request to change it the reply was simply that wasn't possible.”

The floor has never been cleaned in 4 days, when I arrived there was dirt on the bathroom floor and there it stayed the whole duration of the stay.
Also, the fixed shower head… can you not update to a flexible one? I know you are not used to bidet but that would be all people would need in order to avoid taking 2 showers a day, consuming tons of water.
I Did not buy the breakfast so i can’t judge on that, but I had to pay to leave the luggage on the last day (it’s 1 pound, but still…this have never happened before anywhere I travelled) "
