“This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very attentive and friendly, breakfast was excellent with good quality products…. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel, but the menu is varied and the people I saw eating seemed to be enjoying themselves. It’s less than 10 mins from the A38, through country lanes which makes you feel as if you are a lot farther from the hustle and bustle than you actually are…..a gem of a find and I will be back….”

“Access to car park and car park itself are uneven. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Cannot comment on public areas in hotel as did not use, but reception area is small and dingy and feels very old fashioned. Room 16 (budget single)”

“Only stayed the one night. Checking in was quick and easy, the staff on the front desk were brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Room was superb, clean and tidy, bed was very comfortable, and the shower was great too. All in all a very pleasant stay.”

“Although our stay was fleeting (just one night) we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff. The room lacked a TV, but actually this was an absolute blessing and it made change not to reach for a remote control. Instead there was a DAB radio which was playing a soothing Classic FM when we entered our rather classy country pub hotel. Everything was to a very high standard in our room. We were even welcomed with a short, signed note on quality card wishing us personally, a warm and...
