Spiaggia Pothupitiya: Tour e Visite Guidate

Superb location. Friendly staff. Amazing views. Spacious rooms, each with a bathroom. We had a 3 bedroom apartment. Nice pool with beach access. Terrible upkeep of apartment. Beds, towel and linen were only thing clean. Kitchen was filthy and dishes had to be sanitised before use. Dishwashing sponge was moldy and black. Burnt and melted spatulas. Filthy microwave. Food marks all over walls. Downstairs bathroom just clogged up and shower was unusable. Iron has a big burn on it so does the ironing board.. making them unusable. Safe was locked and a hole in it. We had to ask for another safe to be brought up. Dirty walls and counter tops. Gross smears on the windows and doors. Ant infestation around the kitchen sponge. The soaps were sparse and we ended up purchasing soaps and shampoos. Overall I felt sad for the workers there. Didn't seem they could do much about the cleanliness and upkeep of apartment. It's a shame... a beautiful property left messy and unkept.
