• The lake was wonderful, and the inside of the home was cute.• The exterior had not been cleaned or maintained. The lawn was very long, with rotting leaf piles, 12-inch weeds growing through the stairs, and mayflies and spiderwebs covering the outside, chairs, and handrails.• Near the dock, broken, sharp dock pieces were piled in an overgrown area.• My husband, our two children, and I spent about five hours mowing, raking, weeding, cleaning furniture, and removing debris so the property was safe and usable before the rest of our family arrived.• The listing stated there was a deck or patio, but there was neither. The only outdoor furniture was a few dirty chairs and a small table under a bush. We bought a table and six chairs because there was no outdoor dining space, and the indoor table seated only four of our group of ten.• The loft stairs are very narrow and steep. The upstairs shower is only about three feet high because of the sloped roof.• The loft has no air conditioning or windows. Even with outdoor highs around 70 degrees, it was too hot to sleep, so several of us slept on the main floor.• The host’s response to the property condition was simply that the neighbor was supposed to mow weekly.• Our daughter’s bike got locked in the garage, and the host provided access to the basement but not the garage and told us to ask the neighbor only in an emergency. Luckily, the neighbor opened the garage.We would not stay here again or recommend this property.
