“Nice pub with standard rooms. In nice location, central and easy to find. Easy and friendly check in, nice cooked breakfast too. Beds comfy. Shower was a little small. Whilst they didn't have anywhere to store bicycles indoors overnight, we were able to lock them under shelter in the tucked away Car Park at the back. Overall ideal for our one night stay.”

“Light bright rooms, overlooking fields with castle & sea in the distance. Plenty of parking at front of building. Sraff extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice both cold & cooked. There is an onsite cafe adjouning hotel which was ideal. They served hot & cold dishes, variety of sandwiches, cakes, puds etc. It is open 24/7 & used by passersby on A1. Very central for trips to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Lindisfarne etc. We would definitely recommend & will be making a return jorney...
