Hotel vicino a St. Florian Catholic Church - Detroit

“The hostel is situated in a residential area. Parking is available on a residential street. The check-in process with Travis was easy. Minor issue when showing me to my private room as someone else had the same first name and accidentally showed me to that room first. But was quickly corrected. The room itself was functional. The bed was firm. The shared bathrooms was clean, but showing its age with various broken tiles. I was only staying one night in Detroit and this is definitely an option...

“This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Detroit. I always enjoy my stay because the staff is friendly, professional, and very helpful. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that housekeeping could be a bit more thorough with wiping down surfaces at times. Overall, it’s a great hotel, and I would definitely stay here again.”

“The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back”

“—poor signage at back of hotel, trundled my luggage up the wheelchair ramp only to find a sign saying this was a private entrance, go around to the front - where there were only stairs, no ramp. This despite website promises of handicap accessibility. I pointed out the problem to the front desk person and he said “There IS a sign.” But you can only know that by getting close to the back door. By then you’ve wasted a lot of effort. —front desk guy was unhelpful. Had to be asked to help with...

“I did not find the Atheneum to be very well maintained nor clean. Our room was pretty ick to be honest; hairs on the bathroom walls, dust and gunk on all the tile ledges etc. The room decor is quite baffling…. Tons of random ledges, glass bricks, massive pillars. The couch was stained and the room smelled like stale cigarettes. But the staff were very friendly and helpful!”

“Our room was moderately clean but the toilet was barely attached to the floor and the room for our other party had blood all over the bedding.”

“Your basic No Frills hotel but it was clean andconvenient for the 3 days we stayed there. We were in town for a wedding. Convenient to some local dining and nightlife as well. Staff was very friendly. Nothing fancy about the place but they got the job done”

“Great location! Clean, well-equipped, open and spacious apartment. We got a premium one. It was a corner apartment, so we enjoyed a lot of natural light. Cookies in the room were an unexpected and tasty treat! It was a bit noisy at night, but the white noise machine took care of that nicely. Smart touch. We plan to return some day. :)”
