Paradise in St. George
Me and my wife have been there three times and we just booked it again for October. This is our little paradise getaway. The place is always clean and very well maintained every time we go there is some little change that has made to upgraded the place. It has a very nice Outside porch where you can have your coffee and breakfast every morning in the beautiful breeze from the gulf,you go downstairs in the outside porch and you feel like you're in a whole other world, coconuts, wind, chimes, and colorful beach decor all around you. Not to mention the sound of the ocean you can hear throughout the day. Thank you Glen and Lawson for being a great host.

Fantastic Beach Cottage
We came here with another couple to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The house was absolutely adorable and beachy. I loved the wind chimes and succulents. The fenced in yard was awesome for my dog. She loved running around and listening to the roosters in the morning. The house itself was very well stocked. We also enjoyed the large outdoor shower. The couch was super comfortable too. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. We love SGI so much and this house was perfect for us. We would recommend this house and would book again. Thanks!

Weekend with No Cares
Arrived and settled in with 2 dogs. We didn't have a schedule or itinerary....Island Secret allowed us to relax without a care. Pups loved the fence yard and our walks. Kitchen had everything you would need. Enjoyed it very much!

Excellent island secret
We normally stay on 30 A. My husband found this amazing place, pet friendly. It did not disappoint. Everything was on point. Owner was very responsive and the place was well maintained and very clean. Everything you need and well stocked. The yard was like a mint paradise. The outdoor shower was definitely a plus! Located close to the beach access and the Piggly Wiggly grocery store. Our dogs are like our family and they loved the beach and fenced in yard. It has perfect sitting area outside to chill and enjoy with lots of greenery and trees. I’m very particular about where we stay and I can tell you there is not one thing I would change about this place. It truly was a small paradise! Of all my places we have stayed, this place is my favorite. You will not be disappointed.

Most beautiful birthday ever
It is a true jewel. My sister and i and 2 dashounds stayed for 4 nights.we walked to the beach every day a very short walk. The cottage was absolutely perfect. Not the cookie cutter condo or hotel room . A true beach cottage.we will be planning to make it a tradition. The host was awesome. You could tell their hearts are in it. I loved it, so did my pups and sister. Very clean and very well maintained. Great memories!!!!! Beautiful sunrises .

Comfortably cozy!
This cute cottage offers privacy, a short walk to the beach, and a place for pups. The kitchen was well appointed. The love sack couch made lounging way too easy! 😉 The screened in porch off the bedroom on the bottom level was delightful. Having breakfast on the deck off the main room was peaceful. My only complaint was that our stay was too short. The fenced in yard for the dogs was on point. Thank you for providing clean and comfortable accommodations. I highly recommend a stay at this island cottage!

Enjoy the Forgotten Coast
We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It was great to be secluded in the woods, yet just down the road from the beach. The cottage was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again!

Island Secret
This was our second time staying at Island Secret. Each time we leave, im ready to plan my next visit. The oitdoor space is gorgous and private. Its like an oasis in the middle of the island. The hosts are kind and responsive. They have thought of everything to give you a relaxing and unique beach vacation experience. We will return again soon, I hope!

Hidden Paradise

Perfect Getaway
We had a wonderful stay at “Island Secret!” This place is decorated so beautifully with so many beachy and unique decorations. The many wind chimes outside sounded so lovely in the evening breeze. We even enjoyed the rainy days! The surrounding plants and trees make it private yet it’s close to everything you need. We loved taking the short walk to the beautiful beach. This was our first trip to the island and we quickly discovered the island is family friendly and everyone we encountered was laid back and friendly. We also loved that there were no chain stores nearby and everything seems to be locally owned small businesses. BJs pizza is the best pizza we’ve ever had! Glenn, our host was super quick to respond with questions after we booked and during our stay. Thank you!

Great SGI location
This lovely cottage was only 2 blocks from the beach. Beautiful deck to sit and visit or have morning coffee. Plenty of dishes and kitchen items, keurig and coffee maker. Loved the outdoor shower. Lots of privacy and felt like a tropical paradise.

Island Secret was THE BEST
We had a lovely stay. The place was well stocked with lovely decor and comfy beds, couches. The yard was fenced for the pups to run around. They even had spices in the cabinets for cooking. This place was super close to everything and we rode our bikes into town and to the beach. Only a few block from the beach down 8th if you want to walk. We will definitely be back. This is our new favorite place to stay.

Southern Beachy Vibe
My family and pups really enjoyed our time at Island Secret. The house is very comfortable and colorful, with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of fenced space for our pups to run. The home is easy walking to the beach and gulf sides of the island and not far from island center with restaurants and other activities. The owners/managers were very responsive to requests and questions. We did not use the downstairs, but the extra space would be nice for a larger family or group. We had a great time!

Excellent Stay
We were fortunate we chose this “Secret”. The weather was amazing and this homey (Love Sac couch in the living room…sigh💕) cottage was everything we could have asked for. It was private too! It is a very short walk to the beach and provided us with everything we needed. The things we did need was a very short drive to the Piggly Wiggly. I have to say that the collection of beach decor that has been collected is amazing. We had so much fun exploring and finding something new to look at at every turn. The owner was SO responsive and nice. We could not have picked a better place to stay. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Check-in was easy with no problems. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Appreciated the fenced yard for our dog. The house was perfect for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked as we did cook during our stay. All in all it was a great stay. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful
Loved how clean and cozy everything was. Enjoyed the back porch and loved all the little places to “hide” for peace and quiet. We all felt like we were staying in a tree house with the beautiful canopy of trees all around. Loved how we felt we had our own private island oasis.

Perfect place to relax!
We loved our stay at Island Secret! The house was perfect and had a great beachy vibe with all of the decorations throughout. The home is well stocked with everything you need. It is in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach which was perfect to walk our dog. The upstairs deck was a great place to relax and listen to the birds. This was our first time in St. George Island and we’ll definitely be back.

We loved staying at Island Secret. Our dogs were safe and secure in the fenced yard. The beach was a quick walk and eating places were close too. It was a beautiful and clean house, and it perfect for us. Our adult son loved the downstairs room; he had his own space and bathroom. I would definitely recommend to anyone. We are hoping to come back next year, and stay there again.

Not sure how much of a secret it will be after this post but… spread the word..!! My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable and beachy cottage. We didn’t get the best weather (lots rain) but the cottage more than helped make our vacation enjoyable. Loved the porch to be able to relax and play games. The fenced yard was perfect for our fur babies to be able to burn some energy yet remain completely safe. It was just a short walk to the beautiful dog friendly beaches of St George Island which we did often. The landscape and decor was perfect and exactly what we were hoping for when searching for the perfect rental. And finally, I can’t say enough positive things about our hosts. Very easy to communicate with, truly caring and wanting our vacation to be perfect. Quickly responding to any questions we had. We both highly recommend Island Secret to anyone wishing to enjoy the perfect accommodations to safely enjoy all SGI and the surrounding areas have to offer!!!

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was very comfortable. We tried our best to keep it clean during our stay, would suggest providing a sm vacuum or a better broom/dustpan, mop and bucket. Other than that it could not have been better.

Family Beach Trip
Everything was perfect! Exactly as described. The house was beautifully decorated. So relaxing! We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked for next year! You’ll have NO problem finding anything you need in the kitchen. Owners were very responsive anytime I had a question.

St. George Island Gem
We just loved Island Secret. This adorable beach cottage had everything we needed. A great location , fenced yard ( we brought our dog) comfortable beds, outdoor sitting areas, a great second floor deck and a short walk to the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

Terrific Time!
We were happy to return to Island Secret. Our time at St. George Island was amazing; and Island Secret is a gem of a rental. The area is so bike-friendly. We rented bikes for the week, from Jolly Roger, with delivery and pick-up; and were highly satisfied with the bikes/service provided. The hiking trails on the east end of the island, at Dr. Julian G Bruce State Park, were great for exploring. We would not hesitate to recommend this property for those looking for a rental in this area….comfortable outdoor spaces for enjoying sunshine and shade; quiet neighborhood; quick walk to the beach; super grilling area. Thanks to the owners for sharing such a sweet cottage/property!

Honeymoon Getaway
This was the most loved little hoise I've ever stayed in. You can tell the owners love their home and the artistic and creative touches are in ever crevice. We will definitely come back for an anniversary!

The secret is out!
Perfect accommodations at Island Secret! Beautiful, clean, well kept up cottage and property!! Everything we needed was provided! Close walk to the beach! Every day was just another day in paradise! Thanks to Glenn and Lawson for being great hosts! We look forward to coming back!

Fun little getaway

Amazing Little Secret
We had an amazing time in this island hideaway. It was a perfect fit for 4 adults with some room to spare. Fully stocked kitchen with a great outdoor BBQ area. The private fenced property was an excellent plus for our dogs. This is an really special place and I look forward to coming back.

Happy to return!
This was our second stay at Island Secret, or as we call it, The Tree House (because it sits on a landscaped, fenced, private lot). It was lovely and just like we remembered with a few updates. The location can't be beat and the porch is fabulous for coffee and a book with the birds. We also enjoyed easy strolls to both the beach and the bay each morning with our dog. House rules are easy to follow and very reasonable. The home was clean and well stocked with essentials for cooking, the washer and dryer were in great working order, and all appliances were in great shape. My only critique is that I wish there were a vacuum for guests to use to tidy up sand. The provided brooms were fine, I just prefer a vacuum. I highly recommend this location for your next trip, especially for a getaway with a few friends or that special someone.

Magical retreat
We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at the Island Secret. The house is perfectly located on the island, the owners clearly love the property and have devoted tons of time and energy into making it welcoming and comfortable for their guests, and the communication with the owners is beyond compare. I was able to stay in touch with them throughout our stay, and I truly felt like I was being hosted by family. I can't thank Glenn and Lawson enough for making this much needed vacation truly relaxing and rejuvenating for me and my sons. The screened in porch downstairs is a relaxing little heaven. The upstairs porch is delightful at all times of the day. And the sleeping arrangements were perfect for us. We plan to return and are thankful to Glenn and Lawson for sharing this home with seasonal visitors to the island. Amazing find. Thank you again!
