“This little motel was THE PERFECT stay while I was in St. Ignace for 4 days. I love the vintage-feel of the motel and the newly-updated rooms! Bed was super comfortable and so was the recliner in the room. Room was super clean and had everything I needed. When I come back to St. Ignace, I will always stay at The Cedars!!!!!!! “The motel is the old style where you drive up to the door of your room. And the room was very basic. But it was just what we needed. Clean, comfortable and very convenient. It's located right on the highway and the Mackinac Island Ferry shuttle stops here when you call. It was so nice to just park at the motel and be picked up instead of having to drive down to the St. Ignace dock and pay for parking. Armand is very kind and helpful and as you can see from the photos he has a very impressive...

“The property location is ok. It’s an old motel. The room we had has 3 things to connect to the 2 power jacks. So we could only connect 2 with a fair bit of efforts as the power points were behind the refrigerator. The office has limited open hours time and they serve muffins and doughnuts for breakfast only from 8 AM. Just a basic motel nothing fancy about it.”

“Holiday Inn Express St. Ignace was pretty rough. We had a room on the first floor, which is technically like a walk-out basement. The room had a sliding glass door to the outside where a common firepit and chairs are situated. The lake and shore are right there which is nice. The room felt so shabby that we did not enjoy our stay. The edges of the carpet at corners and seams were frayed. The track to the sliding door was filthy. This hotel needs a refresh.”
