Salt & Battery Seaside Escape

"Salt & Battery" è St. La più recente casa per le vacanze di John è incastonata nelle scogliere di Signal Hill che offre viste panoramiche sulla città, sul porto e sulle strettezze dell'Atlantico. Questa nuovissima casa meravigliosa con i suoi colori vivaci e l'arredamento costiero è a pochi passi da tutto ciò che St. John ha da offrire e altro ancora.
Come nostri ospiti avrete accesso completo e privato a questa casa recentemente rinnovata e completamente attrezzata. L'open space e finestre sovradimensionate inondano lo spazio di luce naturale e offrono viste indescrivibili. Con una cucina di alto livello puoi avere la possibilità di cucinare a casa o assaggiare la cucina di Terranova presso i numerosi ristoranti raggiungibili a piedi. Inoltre, il secondo piano del ponte è il luogo perfetto per sedersi e distendersi mentre si godono le viste mozzafiato della città (barbecue e cene all'aperto disponibili da maggio a ottobre). Con 2 camere da letto, 2 bagni e un divano letto questa casa può ospitare comodamente 6 persone. Possiamo anche ospitare genitori che viaggiano con bambini piccoli. Pack n Play e seggiolone disponibili su richiesta.

St. John’s experience!

Wonderful home base to experience St. John’s from. Easy walking distance from downtown. Lovely setup and unique view of the harbour and all the ships.

Exceeded my expectations

Beautiful decor, comfy beds, and clean clean clean. Above and beyond, providing small snacks like granola bars and fruit snacks to make up remover pads and wet wipes in the bathroom. Bedrooms had plenty of extra linens and a toasty quilt you could add to the bed if your a little chilly. Easy access to the signal hill trails. Overall, I’d give this place and host a 12 out 10. :-)

We had a wonderful stay at a beautiful property. The description was spot-on and if anything, they over-delivered. Everything we could ask for in a perfect location. Close to downtown, right on the harbour, walkable to Signal Hill. For us too as a three adult family group (mom, dad, daughter), it was a big plus to have 2 equally sized and furnished bedrooms, large fully equipped kitchen, two washrooms, a living room and a deck.

Home away from Home

We booked this property because of its layout and decor, and also it’s proximity to the Harbour, Signal Hill trails, and downtown St. John’s. Our expectations were met a thousand times over! The layout and decoration of the house was so appropriate for our family. Everyone had a space to do their thing, all the beds were really comfortable, the facilities were shiny and new, exactly as advertised. While there were things we wanted to do in St. John’s, we were just as happy hanging out in the house - it was SO comfortable and watching the harbour traffic was an endless source of enjoyment! We did enjoy proximity to trails and city, making for an easy vacation where we could just park the car and walk everywhere. Highly recommended destination - we will be back!

Newfoundland Reunion

This property was wonderful, and so close to everything downtown, and hikes at Signal Hill. I was born in Nfld, and on this trip back, I brought my new husband, my son and daughter in law, and grandchildren. We loved waking up every morning, and enjoying the view of the harbor. Parking was crazy, but the neighbors kept us straight. Truly enjoyed everything. We will be back!

The salt and battery by the sea exceeded my expectations. The house was beautiful and clean. Loved the patio. We also loved watching the boats as it was right next to the harbour. The house had everything you would ever need for a wonderful holiday. Paul and Tracey were very accessible when you had a question . They even had treats and cold water when we arrived and also coffee pods for the kerig. This place was amazing and we were so sad to leave. We would definitely stay there again when in the area.

Stilvolle Unterkunft am Hafen von St. John’s

Wir haben drei Nächte im Salt & Battery Ferienhaus verbracht und uns sehr zu Hause gefühlt. Das Ferienhaus ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen! Darüber hinaus war es außergewöhnlich gut ausgestattet und hatte bequeme Betten. Die Aussicht auf den Hafen von St. John’s ist grandios und es ist ständig etwas los: Wir haben zwei Kreuzfahrtschiffe und mehrere Versorgungsschiffe an- und ablegen sehen. Auf der Terrasse und wenn die Fenster geöffnet sind, hört man die laufenden Schiffsgeneratoren deutlich; mit geschlossenen Fenstern ist es aber ruhig und wir konnten gut schlafen. Die Vermieter haben postwendend auf alle unsere Anfragen reagiert und inwaren ausgesprochen zuvorkommend. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen und hier erneut übernachten.

Beautiful property! The decorating was absolutely amazing. Worked out perfect for 2 couples, sitting out watching the freighters coming into the harbour was great and interesting. Location, location, location. I highly recommend this vacation spot. You will not be disappointed.

This property was truly special. Every detail in the decor was lovingly planned and resulted in a visually beautiful and functional space. The location provided stunning views of the harbour and the working vessels. Was within walking distance of downtown and also Signal Hill. As others have mentioned, parking is tight but it is manageable. Highly recommended.

Great spot in St. John's

Near everything, but not in the midst of everything. A short walk and you were on Water Street for shopping, dining and drinking. A few more minutes and it's live music on George St. Turn the other direction and you're on the path up to Cabot Tower. Place was well outfitted and comfortable.

Great accommodation with a view of the harbor, just 10 minutes walk from the city center and Signal Hill. It's all there down to the smallest details. Strongly recommended! Wow!

A perfectly located gem of a home on the harbour. Immaculate and professionally decorated, this home away from home felt exactly like home to us. The fully outfitted kitchen included water bottles in the fridge, coffee, a nice assortment of teas (much appreciated), sugar and a great little welcome basket of snacks. The beds were comfortable and the linens were good quality. The bathrooms were fully stocked with supplies and an abundance of good towels. Location was perfect for walking downtown for restaurants and a trail leading up to Signal hill is a short walk from the house. Thanks for a truly great stay for 2 couples from away.

Great spot to get ready in for a wedding

I stayed here the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and the night of my wedding with my now husband. This house is BEAUTIFUL. It is spacious and welcoming. I had 8 girls get ready with hair and make up the morning of the wedding and it was a little chaotic but we had enough room to function. Parking was the biggest issue, but we made it work and it was worth it those harbour views!

The perfect spot

Our stay at the Salt & Battery was our fifth of a two-week holiday in Newfoundland and it was the best. In fact, the S&B is the nicest rental I have ever stayed in, in any location. The unit was so beautifully decorated that it both inspired me and made me wonder how anyone could have put so much effort into such a stunning decor. Very comfortable, perfectly located, and the owners have thought of everything for travellers. We loved every minute of our two-night stay. Incredibly comfortable beds, with top-notch linens, a fully outfitted kitchen with nice touches like decaf Keurig and cold bottled water. The location is incredibly quiet and the view is hard to beat. The parking is a little challenging—but a local very kindly offered to turn out car around for us, so it worked out fine. I can't recommend this rental too highly. 10+/10!

We spent 9 days in this cozy, bright, and relaxing space. I can't say enough good about the house, the check-in process, all the small details and literally everything you could think of that you might need for your stay. Would highly recommend Salt and Battery to anyone and we will be staying here in the future. What a great spot

Perfect place to stay

Had everything we needed and more. Weather was warmer than usual but there were plenty of fans to keep us comfortable. Great location, and can’t beat the view from the deck.

Un coin de paradis!

Nous avons eu un très beau séjour dans ce magnifique appartement confortable et fonctionnel. La vue sur le port est magnifique et nous olonge dans une belle ambiance. Les hôtes ont aussi laissé à notre disposition une foule d'équipements et darticles alimentaires ( huile, epices, etc.), ce qui a permis dutiliser la cuisine sans avoir à acheter plein de choses qu'il aurait fallu laisser derrière nous. Les propriétaires etaient sympathiques acceuillants, s'assurant que tout soit en ordre à notre arrivée. Un parc pour bébé et une chaise hautont aussi étaient mis à notre disposition. Bref, un sejour parfait dans un lieu parfait!

Perfect property

This property was perfect for walking to all of the attractions that St. John’s has to offer….the proximity to the harbour provides a beautiful view and lots of activity surrounding the ships in port…..staying in a house at the base of Signal Hill was a treat….the house is just as it appears in the photos and the hosts were attentive to all of our needs.
