The Space:

Perla di Cape Marie 1412 is a light, generously proportioned two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor of Cape Marie building B, in the quiet heart of Coral Estate. Everything happens on one level, and the whole living area opens up: the sliding glass wall folds all the way back, so the living room and the covered terrace become a single space filled with trade wind and Caribbean light. It's the kind of apartment that suits how people actually vacation - coffee on the terrace before anyone else is up, a long lunch in the shade, the pool a few steps from your own patio.



Design

1412 is finished in a calm, contemporary style: soft neutrals, large-format tile floors and plenty of natural light. The mood is easygoing rather than formal, and the apartment offers a lot of space and comfort for the price.



Bedrooms & bathrooms

Two bedrooms sleep four guests, each with a queen-size bed, air conditioning and its own en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. A separate guest toilet keeps mornings from turning into a line.



Kitchen & living area

The open-plan living and dining area has air conditioning, ceiling fans, a smart TV and a dedicated desk if you need to check in with the office. The fully equipped open kitchen has a breakfast bar, induction cooktop, combination oven, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and a full-size American refrigerator with ice dispenser.



Terrace & outdoor living

Ground-floor apartments are easy to love and hard to find. What sets 1412 apart is the terrace itself: deep enough to stay shaded through the hottest part of the afternoon, with an outdoor dining table, ceiling fan and a lounge sofa in the shade. The landscaped garden of agave, cactus and palms wraps around the sun patio, so the lounge chairs feel like they belong to you alone. Dinner outdoors is the default here, not a special occasion.



The pool

A short path runs from the terrace straight to the communal pool at Cape Marie - seconds, not minutes. Sun loungers, thatched palapa umbrellas and a shallow section that works well for younger swimmers make it easy for a morning swim to happen before breakfast, with towels drying on your own terrace afterwards.

The Neighborhood:

Coral Estate is a gated residential resort in Banda Abou, on the quiet west coast of Curaçao near Sint Willibrordus. The estate was built around three ideas - peace, space and safety and has 24/7 security. Cactus, divi-divi trees and dry kunuku scrubland surround the grounds, and the flamingos of Jan Kok bay are a short drive away.



The Coral Estate Centre brings together a spa, dive school, boutique and bakery, the last of which serves breakfast in the morning and pizza at night. On the water you'll find two restaurants: Karakter, with loungers and beach service on the resort beach, and Koraal on the cliff above.



Three of the island's best beaches are close by: Daaibooi, Playa Porto Marie and Cas Abao are all within 15 minutes.



Getting Around:

Coral Estate sits about 25 minutes from Hato International Airport (CUR) and roughly 25 to 30 minutes from Willemstad, so the whole island stays within comfortable reach while you're staying on the quiet side of it.



Do you need a car in Curaçao? For a stay here, yes. There's no supermarket inside the gate and the beaches, dive sites and restaurants that make the west coast special are spread out along the coast road. With a car you can chase a new beach every day, start the morning with an early hike in Christoffel Park or drive into Willemstad for shopping and dinner.



We keep our own rental cars on the estate and rent them exclusively to our guests, so you can arrange one directly with us instead of queueing at the airport desk. Get in touch and we'll talk you through the options and have the car ready when you arrive.



We can also arrange a taxi for you, for the ride from the airport when you land, back again on departure, or an evening out in Willemstad without worrying about the drive home. Let us know when you need one and we'll book it.



Other Things to Note:

A few practical details worth knowing before you book.



- Every guest gets a complimentary drink at Karakter, the beach restaurant at the water's edge on the resort.




- The property is cleaned and the beds made up before arrival, with bath and beach towels ready for you. On stays of five nights or more, cleaning and fresh linen and towels are included every three to four days.



- Pricing follows the number of guests you enter, so it's worth checking that against your party. One bedroom per two guests is included in the rate; extra bedrooms can be added for a nightly charge once your booking is confirmed.



- A barbecue can be added for an extra charge - gas, charcoal or electric depending on the property - set up ready to use and cleaned afterwards.




- Electricity and water are included, based on roughly 8 to 12 hours of air conditioning a day. Nearly all guests stay within that; a surcharge applies for usage well beyond it.




- A refundable USD 500 deposit is arranged at check-in, preferably by credit card authorisation, covering any damage or loss and released in full after check-out.
