Premier St. Michaels Cottage - T. Blades House - Walk to Everything in Town

La storica Thomas Blades House, davvero speciale e recentemente restaurata, è situata nel centro storico di St. Michaels, a pochi passi dal parco cittadino con magnifiche viste sull'acqua. Si tratta di un cottage con 2 camere da letto, 1. 5 bagni. Le tariffe variano in base alla stagione e se il soggiorno è di notte o fine settimana. Soggiorni di una settimana o più sono scontati, così come le prenotazioni "last minute".

Musei, negozi (compresi negozi di alimentari e farmacia), ristoranti, chiese, parchi, campi da tennis, piscina cittadina. biblioteca, mercato del contadino settimanale e altre attrazioni sono raggiungibili a piedi dalla casa!

La casa è molto confortevole e arredata con gusto con mobili d'epoca e riproduzione. Perfettamente adatto per una piccola famiglia o una o due coppie. La casa è anche una vacanza romantica ideale per una coppia. La grande camera familiare e il grande portico posteriore creano un ambiente ideale per rilassarsi!

La casa fu costruita intorno al 1850 da Thomas Blades, un giovane marinaio.

Il primo piano della porzione originale della Blades House comprende una SALOTTO e una SALA DA PRANZO. Sul retro della casa originale al primo piano si trova una zona CUCINA collegata a una grande CAMERA FAMILIARE con pannelli in legno. C'è un mezzo bagno al largo della camera familiare. La parte posteriore della camera familiare si apre da porte francesi a un grande portico esterno con ventilatore a soffitto e zona pranzo. C'è un ponte sul retro del portico per grigliate all'aperto.

Il secondo piano della porzione originale della casa di Blades comprende una grande CAMERA DA LETTO con un letto matrimoniale e un antico letto per bambini (lettino per bambini). Il secondo piano sul retro della casa contiene la grande CAMERA DA LETTO MASTER con un letto king size. Al largo di una sala tra le due camere da letto si trova il bagno principale.

Un ulteriore cottage e una grande casa sul lungomare sono disponibili anche in affitto.

My husband and two dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Half the house seemed original and half an addition, and we appreciated staying in a part of history. We walked everywhere in town.

The T. Blades house was the perfect choice for a two day quick getaway for my husband and I. The house is not only filled with period charm and character, but has been lovingly and perfectly restored to make it a very comfortable stay. Immaculately clean and furnished. The location is a 5 star, as well. One block to the main street with shops and restaurants, and two blocks in the other direction to the water. Can't wait to go back. Kathleen and John

We loved our weekend at T. Blades House. We parked the car and walked everywhere - to breakfast, the parks, marina, all the shops on Talbot Street, and met so many nice neighbors (and their canine companions) strolling the quaint little streets! The house was cozy as can be, with all the charm of a historic home plus modern conveniences. Gorgeous original heart pine floors, beams, and period hardware & furnishings — with nice comfortable beds to end your day! We would love to return next year!

Overall we enjoyed the cottage because the location was incredible and the air conditioning was great on a hot weekend. Beds were comfortable and the screened in porch was enjoyable. The antique furnishings and decor was cozy! We had a two year old sleep in the children’s cot in the second bedroom and used towels to cover the windows. Primary bedroom was very nice! Unfortunately we were visiting during a storm and the ants were EVERYWHERE. We couldn’t leave anything or dishes on the counter because the ants would swarm. We had to throw away a bunch of our new groceries. There was also a bunch of nails on the back patio (probably from the housework Nextdoor). Overall, we really did like the property! Just some cleanliness issues. We would return for sure due to the location!

The house looked better than the pictures. It was very cozy and had everything we needed. It’s probably the best location for walking around town. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the beds were comfortable.

The location and proximity of the home was exactly what we had hoped for. The home felt like a handyman special and work was needed in every room. Rotten walls from water damaged, Windows’s closed and secured with zip ties, closets that we could not hang clothes because of other items thrown around. Seating in most rooms were not ideal and seemed more like an antique store than a place to relax. I will say the Owner communicates well and provides the basics. The stay was great but will not stay here again due to updates and cleanliness.

The location was unprecedented! Really short walk to everything. Car did not move once we arrived and member of our group uses a walker. Property was clean and accomidating. Very pleased overall. Will return again!!!

Property is an historic small house billed as "you can walk to anywhere in St Michaels", and you can--easily. It's located in a very quiet area a couple of blocks from the harbor. It's near the corner of Locust and Carpenter (two very quiet side streets) that is labeled "Hell's Crossing" on the locally provided street map. There is an interesting story about that dating from the 1800's. The house is very nicely maintained and furnished in colonial period style. It's ideal for a couple, or a couple with two children. It might be too small for multiple families. The only suggested improvement I would make is to provide a non-skid bath mat for the tub. It has a non-slip surface, but it's still a little slippery--especially for us older folks

We enjoyed our a long weekend in this historic cottage.it is located on a street that we have frequently walked over the past 15 years - we’ve always been curious about this row of homes. We loved all of the antiques and decor. We enjoyed sitting on the shaded screened in porch during the hot days, along with our Boston Terrier and another set of friends. The location is perfect, 1 block from the Main Street and about 1/2 block from the harbor and park.. We received the perfect amount of communication from the owner. We would book with them again.

The property is beautiful and very well appointed. The location is perfect for walking to anywhere in town and is just a few steps to the water. There are plenty of places to walk your dog very close to the house. The host, Tom, was very friendly and easy to work with. The only issues we had were the construction noise early in the morning from the house next to ours and an issue with ants in the kitchen. Otherwise, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We would recommend this house to a couple or small family.

Tom’s home is meticulously restored and totally convenient to Talbot Street and the harbor. He was completely responsive to my questions and helpful to decision making regarding the stay. Wonderful experience and will return!
