Peaceful and relaxing
This property is located on the North Side and it is more peaceful and enjoyable. It was so relaxing. I would definitely stay again!

40th wedding anniversary
This is not a five star location or room, but it was very neat and clean. Mike and Marta are very nice people. We had a very good time.

Great convenient place to stay. Short walk to beach. The place is very dated but clean enough. Shower curtain liner needs to be replaced. Bathroom door had a big hole. Outside it is situated right on the waterway which is nice to sit on the deck.

Loved being able to lay out and get sun on the deck and the lounge chairs that are already there for my convenience. Windy beach days made that nice! Very cool hidden gem.

If you are a true lover of Clearwater Beach, then you really will appreciate this place! It is the perfect place to stay on North Beach. You can enjoy the sunrise just steps away on the dock and the sunset is a 5 min walk. I can't wait to go back to the beach and stay here again. It was safe, clean, and accessible to all we needed from North Beach all the way down to South Beach. We will be back as soon as possible.

Bay Royal vacation
Minutes walking from white sand beach, shops and restaurants. Funky cool dock overlooking bay - great for morning coffee / late night cocktails. Friendly resident cat and Great Egret. We had a great time. Recommended! J and K

This is a great hidden gem
You know you've really scored when the first thing your husband says is, "what a great place!" This is a great hidden gem within walking distance of the beach and shopping. My requirements: clean, quiet, and comfortable and these rooms delivered! The rooms were clean, the area was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Mike and Marta were the best hosts! They were very quick to reply to messages. I will 100% stay there the next time we're in town.

Hosts were very friendly and responsive throughout! Great location, easy walk to the beach. We loved that there was a kitchenette and we were able to make a lot of our own meals. Very clean. We had a great experience and would definitely stay again! Thanks so much for everything!

The property is older and cozy. The location is great and the room was very clean. The shower is 3 feet by 3 feet and was a challenge for a 6 foot 1 inch man. The kitchen had everything that we needed. My wife enjoyed the cat.

Great location
This is the second time we have stayed at this property. Check in/out was easy. Super close to the beach and bars/restaurants. Friends of ours also booked their rental at this location. It is extremely convenient to have beach chairs and umbrellas available! :)

Clearwater
The place was as advertised. I'm 65 and the place made me feel like I was a young man again!! Its like stepping back in time to the good old days road side motels but this one is on the water!! Clean and very quiet neighborhood. Easy walking distance to everything. Didn't meet the owners, but other guest said they are wonderful people. Will definitely rent again!

Old school Florida
For the price, this place was perfect for a weekend. Dock on the intercostal. 1.5 blocks to the beach. 3-4 blocks to all the bars and restaurants. This isn't a 5 star condo, this is a cozy, old school spot with a phenomenal location. In its price range its 5/5. You could stay here without a car.

great atmosphere, quiet cozy apartment and grounds. back deck and sun deck were wonderful for sipping coffee and watching the dolphins and birds. walking distance to everything and dog friendly!! the ocean is directly across the street at the north end and right by the dog friendly entrance to clearwater beach. Perfect eatery and menu item recommendations and fantastic owners and caretakers. can not wait to stay again. Great price for a cozy quiet getaway. highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem
Our stay was very good here. The apartment was relatively clean and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic as well with a quick walk to the beach and many bars and restaurants within walking distance. They also had beach chairs available (and even a volleyball) which made our trip even more amazing. The AC kept the whole place cool which was very nice with the Florida heat. I highly recommend!

older but adequate and convenient
Our stay was very good, very comfortable. The location was lovely, with easy access to beaches. Watching the sunrise from the dock was enjoyable, and everything in the unit worked, especially the air conditioning. We'd rent again, and for its condition and location combined, the price point is economical.

Will NEVER go back there. Our friends met us there for a day at the beach and parked next to our car. The owner called a towing company to have it removed. Long story short, the owner verbally abused us with TERRIBLE language and kept challenging my husband to fight him. The building itself is literally Falling apart. The pictures on the website don’t lie and it is worse on the inside. We packed our things up and went to Fairfield by Marriott. We chose Bay Royal to save money and never again will we do that.

Great location
The location was great, within walking distance to the beach and shops/resturants. The property could use a bit of upgrading. Shower was extremely dark, had to keep the curtain open to see anything. The door was rotting around the lock, making me a bit anxious. Mattress on the bed was very very firm. Overall it was a good trip, just some small things.

Great Time
The perfect little bungalow for us! Clean, great location, just perfect for us…. Beautiful little dock for evening and early morning relaxation! We would definitely go there again. Owner was great! Wonderful time for us and our little dog (very “small dog” friendly). That was important to us!

Overall great place
We would stay here again, the owners were quick to respond with questions, The kitchen was Nice to have four pizzas etc. All utensils were provided. The building is older but our unit was very clean and that’s what’s important to us.

The BEST place to stay!
I cannot put into words the incredible stay I had here! Mike and Marta are incredible hosts and go way above and beyond! The room is great and in an awesome location (walk to the beach)! The other people there were so freindly and helpful too! If I could give this place 10/5 stars I would because they really deserve it. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay there!! We will definitely be returning!

Great Weekend
We were contacted prior to arrival by the owner with all info. The apartment was clean and neat. Water view from our unit. A nice dock with seating was only steps from the door. Close to everything Clearwater Beach has to offer. If you're looking for the Ritz, this probably isn't for you, but if you want a nice, reasonably priced place, I highly recommend Bay Royal. We'll certainly come again.

Great host and hostess
Marta and Mike are very personable and easy to talk to. They were very nice and changed us from a one bedroom to a two bedroom since we brought our granddaughter along. Their place is in a great location for you to fish off of their small dock and just to enjoy the fresh air. You can easily walk a block or so to the beautiful beach. The unit was a good size. Some areas of need include fixing the refrigerator because it has a broken shelf, a new coffee pot, fixing the broken drawer in the kitchen that holds the utensils (it could easily fall and hurt someone) and a visit from pest control for the few bugs we saw in the kitchen only. All in all, it is the type of Ma and Pa place that I enjoy.

Owners were very nice but the building is very old
The mattress was old and there were some bugs in the apartment. Air conditioner had to run constantly but to be fair it was very hot that weekend.

Just good people
Location is grate if your looking close to beach and walking distance to about everything we wanted to do. Owners went above and beyond to make sure we had assesse to everything we needed. Room was clean with plenty of space. Nothing fancy just a home away from home. So overall I would say if your looking for fancy go two doors north and spend three to four times as much. If you want a good place with good people at a fraction of the cost then this is your place. Me and my wife stayed for 12 nights and loved it. The owners are real down to earth people that work hard to keep you happy. I just mentioned about wanting to go fishing and the next day he went and bought a new fishing pole for me. They had beach chairs for us. Accesses to bikes and kayak. If their was anything about our stay negative I would say. I look at reviews all the time to decide where I'm staying. I depend on people to give an honest review.
