Outside area was fantastic with direct beach access along with plenty of patio and deck space. The weather was not ideal, but it was January. The interior could use some fixing up, but it was nice to have separate units. It had plenty of space and cooking utensils. However, the other amenities are limited, and I would not recommend using the pool heat. It was warm when we arrived then got cooler each day of our stay. Overall, I would recommend the place with these comments in mind.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. The whole place was very clean and it was a great location next to the beach. The heated pool was a plus. The general location made it close to walk to local eating spots and a park/nature preserve.

2nd time rented

We could've safely stayed through our full rental and then left town safely before hurricane Helene. We were not allowed to make our own choice and had to rush evacuate far before the hurricane even arrived, more than 24 hours before beach sirens went off, and more than 24 hours before they closed any bridges, thankfully we had somewhere to go. Otherwise great! I would wish to have the luxury to make my own, fully experienced and educated choice next time, but we love this property and have enjoyed each stay!!! Would definitely rent thus property again! Communication is great with property management and nobissues other than much too early forced evacuation again!

Dirty… broken furniture…. Rats on updeck!!!! Rental agency wasn’t concerned! Couldn’t sit out after dark because of the rats!!! We had our 7 mo th old grandson with us and it was awful!!! Fir the amount of money we paid it was not worth it. I will not be giving the rental agency a good review. I’d rate it a -10. Our check in person messaged us when we arrived on Sat evening and said she would be by and check in with us in the next few days and never heard from her again!!!!! Unbelievable!!!

Nice Outdoor Area

The outdoor area and pool was very nice. So close to the beach it was easy to walk back for bathroom breaks and food. Pool was very dirty with sand, not sure if that’s a normal thing with beach pools. This house is essentially 3 apartments next to each other, which was hard for me to discern in the description. No “apartments” are accessible to each other without going outside. We needed something a little more together than the way it was set up. But it may work for another family. Unit B’s bathtub was clogged with hair that we had to remove in order for it to drain properly and overall the apartment just wasn’t clean. Smelled musty with dirty surfaces. We did have a nice time with family and enjoying the beach and outdoor area but the inside was not worth the money paid. We will not be staying in this house again.

Family vacation

Our family of 13 enjoyed our stay at Sunshine’s Hideaway. The downside was the cold spell with temps in the 40’s, but the kids still enjoyed the heated pool every day!

Fantastic family fun

We had five wonderful days. The location is great, close to ice cream, casual dining and gift shops. Being right on the beach was very special. And the house is large enough to accommodate us all (12,) without being overcrowded and allowing for privacy when needed. We have rented many houses and this was by far the cleanest and best equipped. We’re looking forward to another week in the future.

Family Girls’ Trip

My sisters and I and our adult daughters had a lovely vacation at Sunshine Hideaway. While it’s not fancy, the setup is perfect. There were 8 of us, and that was plenty. Unless you’re sharing beds, 14 would be tight. Being just steps from the beach is fabulous. We had a blast!

Beautiful Beach Front Property

We had an excellent time staying here. The location is perfect, close to stores and restaurants. The pool and beach access are amazing. The house has three separate kitchen and living areas. Perfect for multiple families. The property manager provided full details prior to us arriving and they were quick to respond with any questions. We would definitely stay again.

The weather was beautiful, beach amazing, private pool very handy and local restaurants convenient. The property does need a little TLC. If you are going with 3 separate families this is ideal since there are no doors that connect the 3 units. The property was clean and very convenient to local restaurants and the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and very relaxing.

AMAZING location, great accommodations for family groups!

This property could not have been more perfect for what we dreamed of for our long-awaited vacation. The proximity to the beach was so close and yet so picturesque…we enjoyed the most gorgeous sunsets every night either from the beach just a few yards from the o House, or from the second story deck level that had plenty of seating for our group of 13 to enjoy together. We shared several meals outside on their huge decks using the many outdoor dining tables they had available. This house Is not fancy but it is clean, so comfortable and so accommodating! The theee levels suited each of our individual families needs so well with a kitchenette in each apartment and plenty of beds. No one had to sleep on a couch! The kids LIVED in the private pool that was on the property! It was up to 5 ft so not too deep and actually two of our kids learned how to tread water since it was so easy to go side to side in the deep but narrow end of the pool. Very easy to watch the kids from the comfort of the deck. The location on Indian rocks beach was outstanding, walking distance or very short driving distance to highly rated restaurants, ice cream eateries, fruit stands and nature preserves. We did not want to leave! What an amazing place and amazing treat to get to stay there. You will not be disappointed!

Great beach house

We had a blast at this beach house. Beautiful location right on the beach. Private pool, grill, and several units within the house. Great seating and hanging areas near the pool!

Great location & space

We loved the space and location of this property. It was also very clean. We could walk to several restaurants and bars and the beach/setting was lovely. We had a friend group of 8 and wouldn't recommend more than that, unless you are comfortable sharing smaller beds and bathrooms. The common outside deck dining/lounging area was great, however, there was a very obtrusive fence surrounding the pool that made it less than desirable to use or even look at. I was initially told that (after seeing it in pics and asking) the fence was easily removable as long as we put it back up prior to leaving, but found it was very corroded and required more work than we were willing to do to remove it, so we never used it. Keep this in mind if opting to pay for pool heating. The beach is right there, which is where we spent all of our time. It was pretty dated and could use some TLC, but we spent as much time outside as possible so it wasn't a huge issue. We would definitely rent again as long as we didn't have more than 8 adults.

Family Getaway

This is a wonderful location with a nice pool and easy beach access. The 3 separate units worked well for our 3 families. We were disappointed with how the main unit C was equipped. The refrigerator did not cool or freeze properly, even with our few items. We had to throw away spoiled food and the ice cream turned to liquid. Drawer items in kitchen were old and worn out. An outlet next to the bed didn't work and the blinds in all the unit doors were not attached at bottom, so many were bent or broken. The laundry facility had many broken machines and was not clean. Upgrades to units and some of the outdoor furniture would make this a very desirable place to stay.

Ahhhhmazing!

This property is perfect for groups or couples. The 3 units fit out group dynamic to a tee. Plenty of outdoor spaces to gather & plenty of places for alone time if a break is needed. Having access to the beach is key & we took full advantage, it was incredible to see dolphins up so close. Lots of time spent in the pool as well. Onsite laundry was an added bonus There was not a single complaint from any of our group of 10. Talks of returning have already begun!

Great Location; Poor Upkeep

Disappointed in things needing to be fixed or updated (broken blind) and blinds unattached to door at the bottom so swing. Broken wooden pieces on outside deck created hazards on ground level. New composite wood decking on upper deck but some boards felt like they gave (poor support underneath I suppose. Not really clean units by my standards. Lower deck had mosquitoes that got into that unit whenever the door was opened. Having said all the problems, it is a large complex if you need multiple units for extended family. It also has an adequate 4 ft deep all over pool with smaller spill over area (not heated though) and short direct access to the beach. We were affected by Red Tide in ‘21, not caused by owner but unfortuanate smell and look of dead fish and coughing for two days. The rental agency responded to a non recycling pool quickly. For the cost of renting all 3 units, it needs updating immediately (sofas were changed out while we were renting unfortunately). One older sofa sleeper was moved into the floor unit to take the place of a very worn out sofa sleeper. The upper unit new sectional was a great improvement. Need to do more of this! Overall, we still enjoyed our stay because we are Family.

Perfect location

Wonderful location, minor issues in unit B, there's no dry place outside when it rained, but was great otherwise. Nice large patio, awesome views from the decks, private spot. We are planning to rent it again. The entire family loved it.

Fun and relaxing trip

We had such a great experience staying at Sunshine’s Hideaway. It is located right on the beach and the kids had a blast going from the ocean to the pool and back again. We’ll definitely be back again!
