“Exceptional”

“We had a problem with our door key/locking mechanism and the desk was not helpful in resolving the problem. They wanted us to move from a Lahni upper pool view suite to a lower regular room facing a rock wall with zero compensation for the large downgrade in room. They would not call in a maintenance technician to replace the battery in the door. I got tools from my car opened the door mechanism, cleaned the battery contacts and the door worked fine. This took 2.5 hours ruined our dining plans...

“We had 3 families staying just for a night after visiting Kartchner Caverns in Benson, Az. The hotel was amazing. A welcoming happy hour with drinks and snacks for the entire family. Plus a delicious warm made to order omlette in the morning before we all headed home. I will definitely stay here again. BTW our kids so enjoyed the pool and hot tub.”

“Pros: Staff - Very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the property and provided all the necessary information upon check in. Room - I stayed in the executive suite which was huge and nicely decorated. Very large deep soaking tub with added jets that I feel are more hygienic than some of the older model tubs at other hotels. Lobby/Restaurant/Breakfast - The lobby is huge and very elegant. “This hotel is old. It is well maintained, and the exterior has had a facelift, but the interior needs one. Fortunately the best are newer and the linens were lovely. But I wouldn't set my suitcase, let alone, sit on the chair in the room. It looked disgusting. And the room had no AC on, so at 10 PM we walked into a HOT stuffy room. “The staff was great. Great location. But I was itching really bad on my first night because I have sensitive skin, so I put a pretzel down in the other side of the bed that I slept in just to see if they clean their sheets. I checked it the next day I came back and the pretzel was still there. So I slept in the other bed. The next day I asked room service to change the sheets while I was there. The pool was also a brownish. Other than that it wasn’t bad for the price.”
