  • Avete sognato di svegliarsi al suono dell'oceano, sorseggiando un caffè che si affaccia su una bellissima baia? La Beach House sarà una vacanza perfetta. Situato a St. Mary's Bay, sulla penisola di Avalon, l'area è famosa come parte del ciclo irlandese, e questa zona in particolare per il controllo delle balene. Sarai proprio sulla spiaggia ea pochi minuti a piedi dall'oceano.

    La Beach House è una casa tradizionale in stile "casalinga" a due piani. Ha tre camere da letto al piano superiore (2 con letti queen size, il terzo con una regina e due letti singoli) e un bagno. Al piano inferiore c'è una cucina luminosa e un soggiorno. Appena fuori la cucina è un portico chiuso in cui quattro possono sedersi comodamente per sorseggiare il caffè e chiacchierare mentre si guarda attraverso la baia. Lavanderia in loco e un barbecue. C'è una piccola pozza di fuoco dove si può arrostire marshmallow o semplicemente sedersi e godere di un incendio in serate fresche.

    La zona: La spiaggia è situata nella comunità di St. Vincent's che è famoso per la visione di balene e la sua bellissima spiaggia rocciosa lunga. La comunità fa parte del ciclo irlandese della penisola di Avalon (vedi link sotto) dell'isola. Nell'area, i visitatori possono raggiungere l'Edge of Avalon Interpretation Center (circa 50 km) dove sono offerti tour per la Riserva Ecologica Mistaken Point (solo luglio-settembre) o il Faro di Cape Race. Il bordo di Avalon Inn e il ristorante sono a 40 km di distanza se si desidera assaggiare alcuni famosi piatti di Newfoundland. Potrete anche raggiungere il Parco Naturale Salmonier e passeggiare nel parco per vedere cervi e altri animali, o continuare per il Wilds Golf Resort per lavorare sul vostro swing!

beautiful location, the last house on the "block" if you can call it that, so secluded and peaceful, right on the water but also very close to st vincents beach where we saw whales every time of the 3 times that we went there! everything was very well thought out and it was great to wake up looking right at the water. all in all a great stay at a great place!

This cottage is really close to St. Vincent's Beach and we wanted to see the whales feeding there during our stay. We were able to walk to the beach several times each day to see if there was any activity and on our 4th visit, we were fortunate to see a minke, a seal and a humpback. We also enjoyed hiking a few trails in the community of St. Mary's.

Notre hôte était vraiment à l'écoute et hyper présente tout le long de notre séjour. Malgré un ou deux pépins, nous avons passé un beau séjour. L'emplacement près de la plage est extraordinaire, mais la propreté laissait vraiment à désiré.

A charming, character-filled old house located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, right by the water. The house is simple yet practically furnished and fully equipped with everything you need. The location is absolutely gorgeous and very easy to find thanks to Heather’s directions (make sure to ignore the VRBO location pin and Google Maps directions!). It is within walking distance of the beach and serves as a perfect base for exploring the area, including the historic fishing village of St. Shott’s.

Heather’s house was a bright, comfortable place to stay in St Vincent’s. A great location to stay for whale watching at the beach (sadly, they were not present this year). It’s a quick drive to the beach so perfect. It’s a lovely spot looking out onto the pond. There were a few missing kitchen items such as a can opener and aluminum foil but, generally, an adequately appointed house. I would happily stay again if returning to St. Vincent’s.

Beautiful property along the water with amazing views of waves rolling in. House is quiet and comfortable with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Cleaning could have been better but we were able to sort this ourselves.

Foggy stay at st Vincent

We enjoyed the accommodations although the days we were there it was very foggy and we were unable to look for whales at the beach. No tv available but we did not miss it as we used our laptop and the internet was very good. Thanks for sharing your home it was very comfortable.

The Perfect little getaway

This salt box style house is located just 1.5 hours from St John's and is set in the most amazing location. We were able to swim in the inlet, walk to the beach, explore mistaken point, eat a lovely meal in tenessey and enjoy glorious sunsets, sunrises and the milkyway. All without having to leave our two dogs behind. Our family was able to reconnect and bond. Loved it!

St Vincent's tuck away

Lovely view of water from the small sun room. Very tucked away and quiet. Close to the stone beach and to Trepassey and the wonderful fossils nearby.

Nice place tucked away just off the beach perfect for fishing having pond frontage.nice sandy beaches in each community.The locals are the nicest friendliest people you’ll every meet. I’am from the city so the peace and quiet out here makes it that much more appealing.overall experience I’d grade an (A)

The beds were sinking in the middle .. only a few windows opened upstairs and the rest had no screen

There was a fair bit wrong with this property .. All the beds were old and slumping in the middle. There was furniture thrown behind the home as garbage and no tv… we left after 1 night . We had booked for 3 nights. Never again!

A True Getaway

Private location in a quaint community. Old-fashioned NL home with a beautiful sunroom and outdoor fire pit. Lots of beach to explore. Very friendly locals. Nearest convenience store and gas station are about 15-20 minutes drive away. We stayed here for two nights with a family of four and we all had a great time. Recommended for an outport getaway.
