I am incredibly disappointed with our stay at Hotel Nova. For the price charged, the food, rooms, and service fell completely short of expectations. More importantly, we experienced serious safety and management issues. During our stay, the shower suddenly surged to a scalding temperature, burning our five-year-old daughter badly enough to reduce her to tears. I experienced the same issue, which left my skin aching for two days. When we brought this safety hazard to management's attention, we were met with outright defensiveness. The manager accused us of lying, stating it was "impossible." When I stood my ground, the male manager refused to continue speaking with me and demanded to speak to my husband instead, a shockingly outdated and disrespectful response. To "compensate" for a severe safety issue and terrible service, they offered a mere 10% discount on a €90 dinner bill. The photos online are highly misleading. One of our booked rooms was below ground level directly underneath the parking lot. We couldn't open the window due to the heavy smell of gasoline. The pool is much smaller than it appears online. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was incredibly unreliable. Btw the parking is not free, even though is seems like it on their website. Neum is a beautiful destination, but I strongly advise looking at other hotels nearby. Hotel Nova relies on shiny marketing, but the reality is a lack of basic safety, poor facilities, and unacceptable customer service.
