4-bedroom house in Stanhope - walk to the beach!

***Booking Saturday to Saturday only in July/August***

Designed with vacationers and families in mind, this spacious A-frame home is located in one of the most sought-after tourist areas on the island – the ideal place to start making holiday traditions or summer memories.

The Space: The cottage features high-end furnishings, bright vaulted ceilings with a wall of south-facing windows and a landscaped yard with plenty of sun, wrap-around deck, screened-in porch, outdoor shower and fire pit. The home has air conditioning - much needed for the warm and muggy PEI summers.

Perfect for groups, the main level features an open-concept kitchen/living space with stainless steel appliances, wood cabinets, comfortable seating and a farm sink. The living room is rustic, yet luxurious with modern furnishings, stunning hardwood flooring, a cozy fireplace and a mounted 50” flat screen smart television.

The main floor features a large bathroom with a double vanity and the master bedroom with a king bed and private deck. Upstairs are three additional bedrooms, and a second bathroom. One bedroom features two double beds, and the other two bedrooms each have queen beds.

The Location: Situated alongside the Prince Edward Island Provincial Park, the cottage is steps from biking and walking trails as well as the scenic North Shore beaches, only a 5-minute walk away! Popular attractions include the Stanhope Golf & Country Club, Dalvay by the Sea, Richard’s Seafood Restaurant and The Dunes Café & Studio Gallery – all located in very close proximity. Find easy access to beaches like Brackley and Ross’s Lane as well as the Charlottetown Airport, just a 15 minute drive. The cottage is located 30 minutes from the sights and entertainment of Cavendish.

Amenities: Fully stocked kitchen, full sized washer & dryer, beach towels, chairs and toys, outdoor lawn games. Everything you need for a great beach vacation!

The house was a lovely place for family to gather for a week. Centrally located, the exploration of the island was easily planned. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living space downstairs great for the 5 of us. There were a couple of easy accesses to walking trails and beaches. Communication was excellent.

We had a wonderful week at the Stanhope cottage! It was a stylish and functional cottage for our group of 8 which included two sets of grand-parents and two young children. Common areas were well laid out and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The screened-in porch and outdoor shower were our favorite features! The location was perfect for heading to the beach and hitting the restaurants at the Covehead wharf. 5 stars out of 5, would definitely rent again!

Stanhope - shoulder season

The house was fantastic! Very comfortable with modern amenities and we loved the screened-in porch. Easy walk to the beach and centrally located, making exploring all of PEI easy. Tess thought of and provided everything we needed for a two-week stay!

Great Vacation

The house was very nice, as in the photos. Spacious and well appointed. You can walk to the beach but we mostly drove the short distance to Brackley Beach. Both are fantastic. Tess is very quick to respond to any questions, etc. Richard's restaurantl, less than 5 mins away, is a must for lobster rolls. Played golf at 5 different courses, all within 30 min drive. All in all, a great vacation.

Our family's PEI adventures

We all had the most amazing stay at the Diamond Retreat. We booked this house for my husband's 80th birthday. Our whole family participated. 6 adults and 3 children. This house was perfect. Very well appointed, very clean and well laid out. The location is wonderful. So close to the beach. And very quiet. No traffic. We would definitively stay there again

Wonderful Family Vacation

The stay was absolutely wonderful for our family of 7 adults and 2 children under 5. Tess was wonderful at communicating with us. The house was accurate as pictured and had lots of wonderful games and toys for the family which was much appreciated. It was a short walk to an absolutely picturesque beach, which we visited everyday. We look forward to visiting again soon!

Family island vacation

This is a great location to see the sites of PEI and access to the best beaches with only a short walk. Lots of space for the whole family and a wonderful screened in porch for the evenings.

An Island Retreat

Our family (six adults and two children) enjoyed a great week at this property in Stanhope. The house was clean and well-equipped. We really enjoyed the screen room, which the allowed the adults the option of gathering together after the children were asleep. Although the property is within walking distance to the beach, it is located on a quiet lane where peaceful evenings abound.

A welcoming home away from home, minutes from the beach!

We stayed for four weeks, and enjoyed our time immensely. The house is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need to feel like this is a home away from home (the kitchen has everything you need!) We especially appreciated the extras for our little ones - for our one year old a pack and play for sleep, play yard for the beach, and high chair; and for our four year old tons of beach toys, kid-sized outdoor chairs, puzzles and games for the few rainy days. Walking to the beach was such a treat. Most people seem to drive, but having the flexibility to pop home at lunch worked really well for our family. The walk or bike ride down to Stanhope Beach was worth it for the playground there, too! Being there for a month, we did have a few times we needed to chat with Tess about logistics, and she was always fast and friendly in her responses. We would definitely book here again!

Wonderful home

Everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful. The cottage is in a great location. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Tess’s recommendations of places to eat and golf were greatly appreciated and bang on. I would definitely recommend it.

Lovely property

Very clean and comfortable. Tess responded quickly when I had any questions. We enjoyed our stay. Neighbourhood is quiet. Home is well stocked. Beach chairs and beach towels for all 6 of us. We preferred driving to one of the nearby beaches with washroom facilities rather than walking to a closer beach. We did not watch tv very much but when we did, we had some challenge trying to figure out Roku tv. TV was mounted to make HDMI ports inaccessible to attach our ipad to watch channels not available on Roku such as Sportsnet for the NHL draft. Upstairs shower has no water pressure but downstairs and outdoor shower are fine. Great porch and screened area for relaxing outside. Definitely recommend renting this property.

Perfect

Wow! What a memorable stay! The house is impeccable, like a home away from home. Its location is perfect super quiet neighborhood just 5 minutes from the beach and central to many golf courses. Beds and linen super comfortable, kitchen is fully equiped to cook. Super clean, screened poarch is awesome and Tess is quick to respond and eager to help. Don’t hesitate. We will be back for sure!
