Fuga in famiglia nei boschi

Questa cabina è perfetta per gruppi, famiglie, scout, club che cercano un sacco di spazio per le camere da letto e bagni a un prezzo economico. grande doppio ponte e grande tana con 2 tavoli da biliardo.

Poplar Place è un'unità duplex di grandi dimensioni. Perfetto per riunioni di famiglia, matrimoni e altre grandi riunioni (fino a 16), Poplar Place offre il maggior numero di camere da letto e bagni nel suo design duplex.

Situato a Slade, tra la Red River Gorge e il Natural Bridge State Park, dispone di 8 camere da letto private con letti queen size, 4 bagni completi e 2 mezze vasche ed è diviso in due zone soggiorno separate (come un enorme duplex) che possono essere affittate come due cabine separate più piccole: Totally Cozy e Bearly Irresistible.

Ogni lato ha una zona giorno aperta con camino a gas, cucina arredata con zona pranzo al piano principale, sia Bearly Irresistible che Totally cosy hanno un tavolo da biliardo nelle aree den al piano inferiore. Due portici coperti con una griglia a gas su ciascuno, altalene, tavoli / sedie da picnic possono essere combinati come un'unica grande area o divisi da una parete scorrevole per la privacy, ideale per ritrovarsi e godersi la vita all'aria aperta.

La camera da letto principale si trova al piano principale, due camere da letto private sono al terzo livello e una camera da letto privata si trova nel seminterrato al largo della sala giochi. Jacuzzi è in bagni padronali. La cucina di questa unità è piccola, ma il soggiorno e la sala da pranzo sono ampi. I mazzi sono coperti in quanto è progettato per godersi la vita all'aria aperta. C'è una buca per il fuoco fuori ed è una delle preferite dai grandi gruppi. TV satellitare / DVD. HVAC centrale. Per gli ospiti che non vogliono salire le scale: la camera da letto principale, la Jacuzzi, il soggiorno, la cucina e il portico con tavolo da picnic e grill sono tutti al piano principale!

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Nice place, needs maintenance

The location is great for access to the Red River Gorge. However, we a toilet leak onto one of the beds from a bad wax seal, there were nails sticking up out of floor and steps, many burned out or missing light bulbs and most of the ceiling fans wobbled and made lots of noise. The owner did get a plumber out to fix the toilet the next day, but no one wanted to sleep in a bed that had toilet water leaking on it, and there was no offer for a reimbursement. The kitchens are well appointed, the linens and towels are plentiful and over all our large group had a good time.

Don’t recommend

When we first went to the property it was hard to find the cabin because there was no sign or anything by the road and given the number of the cabin it was passed where it should have been based on address. There’s little to no service so it was complicated getting GPS to work. On one side there was a dead mouse in the clothes hamper that you’re supposed to put your linens in at time of check out. On this same side there were also bats in one of the upstairs rooms. The jacuzzi tubs on/off switch didn’t work so it says to plug it in underneath and it leaked water underneath so it almost caught on fire, luckily my step daughter unplugged it in time but the cord almost burned her hand. There were plug ins that didn’t have covers on them. Neither grill worked and the weeds were tall around the firepit.

Good Place for a Hiking Club

The 8 individual bedrooms was a good set-up for our hiking group (no one had to share a room). Kitchen was a bit small with limited pots and pans, but it was nice to get everyone under one roof. We would come back.

The facility was large enough for a big group. Unfortunately with such a large group and many vehicles from people coming from various areas, the parking was problematic. Many lights were not working and the facility seemed run down. The location from the gorge was good though for the hiking and activities.

Good location and outdoor space

Cabin had enough bedrooms, so that all could have their own space. The outdoor space was wonderful. We enjoyed the decks, the playground, and the fire pit. It looked as if the place needed some basic TLC. Many lightbulbs were out. In some ways, the kitchen was stocked, but did not have basics like dish, rags, sponges, and even a can opener. Jets in the tub did not work. It is such a beautiful place but needs a little love to bring it to top notch standard.

Reunion 2024

Trouble locating property as property markers were dark on dark and did not stand out, plus listing shows front of property and entrance is from the back of property that shares a driveway with adjacent property owner…crowded parking for 5 vehicles. The “Poplar Place” is very nice for large parties…hot tubs did not work…may have a leak from Bearly Irresistible main level bath to basement. Regardless, good time was had by all. Thank you!

Family weekend getaway

With our large family the property met all our needs perfectly. The location was great and convenient to all our daily excursions. We had game-room challenges each night which was a big hit with everyone. We brought our own firewood and bag chairs and thoroughly enjoyed the bonfires each night. We would highly recommend this property for larger groups.

Nice cabin in the woods, but needs to be cleaned

Check in process was easy with a pin-pad code. We stayed in both side of the house. When we arrived there was already trash in the trash bins. TV and trash everywhere since you can’t keep critters out.,of the trash bins. There was a dishwasher full of dishes( not sure if they were clean or not. So I just hand washed all of our dishes we used Posted Wifi passwords would have been nice to have. Both cabins are large w/ 4 bedrooms2-1/2 bath for large group with a large deck on the back that attaches to each side.

FILTHY AND NOT MAINTAINED!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

I wish I could give this property ZERO stars, as one star is way too generous. This cabin is filthy!! It appears to have not been cleaned in years and is certainly NOT adhering to COVID regulations! The bed sheets had not been changed on the beds, before our arrival. It was obvious the beds had been slept in, as the sheets were wrinkled and some of them had debris. The comforters were dirty. We had to wash the sheets and remake the beds. The dryer worked on only one setting. The showers have mold growing in them and there were hairs on the shower walls. There are mouse droppings in the cabinets and drawers!! One of our CHILDREN found a loaded, metal mouse trap on the floor in one of the bedrooms. This child could have lost a finger! The ceiling fan has dirt and mold on it an inch thick -LITERALLY!! We didn't turn it on because we didn't want that filth to drop on us. The floors and carpets are NASTY! The bottoms of our socks were black at the end of every day. The couch in the basement stunk so badly that no one would sit on it. The majority of the furnishings appear to have been obtained by someone driving around the night before garbage pick up and raiding garbage cans. Most everything is in poor condition and/or broken. Half the chairs around the firepit are broken and the smell of a septic tank polluted the air. The leaching beds for the septic tank are right next to the firepit. The garbage can in the laundry room was overflowing. The laundry room was a total mess. Most of the paddles for the ping pong table are broken and the pool table isn't level. A pipe from the upstairs toilet broke and water leaked through the floors into the bathroom below. We had to turn off the water until the toilet could be repaired. The dehumidifier did not have a tray to catch the water. The water went straight on to the floor and my sons suitcase got soaked. It was so hot upstairs that is was almost unbearable. The bedrooms upstairs have window unit AC's (insulated by bath towels). They are so poorly installed that we didn't touch them for fear they would fall out of the windows. I have photos to prove everything I have said is true. I brought all these issues to the attention of the owners. They sent someone to repair the toilet, but ignored me when I contacted them regarding all the other issues. Hopefully, none of us get sick from staying in this disgusting property!!

Rainy weekend

Unfortunately our stay was an entire weekend of rain. But the property worked very well with the large decks saving our entire weekend, it gave plenty of space for our family of 13 to spread out.

Very spacious, homey & peaceful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We rented both sides of the cabin & shared with our whole family! We had 12 people total ranging in age from 2-54. The property manager was quick to respond leading up to our stay, always answered any questions we had and even during our stay. We will definitely book through them again! The only thing we didn’t like was the cleaning ladies left as we were checking in so we were excited to be welcomed into a clean cabin. Which, was clean for the most part, but under the toilet seats hadn’t been cleaned. That was the only issue but wasn’t a huge deal since there were multiple bathrooms available. We really truly loved our stay & hope to book again next year for our family trip! Thank you, Ashley!

Nice Property for Larger Groups

We came in on motorcycles, would not recommend. Road to house is very steep and rough and drive is steep. Good place for a mid-size group, there were ten of us and we enjoyed the flexibility of gathering together around the table and having a kitchen to cook in. We rented both sides so there was plenty of bedroom/bathroom space. A couple of issues with housekeeping when we first arrived but contacted the owner and she took care of it promptly. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Great weekend getaway

Great location with plenty of room. Enjoyed the large deck. Pool tables were small and not in the best shape. Bathroom trash had not been thrown out upon arrival. Other than a couple minor items place was overall great. Beautiful cabin!!!!

Dirty, gas fireplaces did not work, mice, ants, bird in living room, multiple ceiling porch boards loose, large gap in doors to outside. We had a wonderful time because our family is wonderful. Certainly would not recommend this property. First time in 40 years we have given a poor review,

Great Place for a Crowd!

We had a great time getting our friends' families together here for a weekend. The space was perfect for our crowd, with one side for kids who need to sleep/wake up early and the other for the adults to be louder at night and sleep later in the morning. There were a few issues around the cabin with things that were broken or not working, but the owner responded promptly and said they had just acquired the property and were working on the issues. Would love to rent this cabin with our friends again!
