  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Overall good, location is great, photos are as described, host communication was fine. She responded but it was mostly generic copy and paste messages. Check in is at 4pm which is a bit late in the day but ok. When we checked in, the heat was not on and the inside was 52 degrees, the thermostat was actually on "cool" not "heat". I communicated with the host and she said it was a mistake but if you are expecting guests, the least you can do is make the temperature comfortable. It took over 6 hours for it to be comfortable in the home. The host said the cleaning person turned it off by mistake, it was warmer earlier in the week whatever. The weather cannot fluctuate that much in two days (last stay of the previous guest). Not being able to check in until dark and having it be FIFTY TWO in the house for a 2 day stay is unacceptable. There were also dead ladybugs everywhere. I get it, it's a cabin, it's in the woods, there are bugs, but one of our guests found one in their plate of food and there were around thirty dead bugs of the course of our stay which is kind of off-putting. Not a horrible stay but I've definitely had better.

This place was exactly as expected and looked just like the pictures! The host was great and even able to get us an earlier check in! The hot tub was nice and clean and hot when we arrived! I wish we had taken photos of the property but sadly we did not.It was so sweet and cozy with all the little details thought of, things like bath robes, blankets etc.
