I love how the place is packed just in case you forget anything. Tons of maps and stuff to cater to hikers. Even though we weren’t there to hike, it had a cozy vibe. The porch was the absolute best!

The cabin was great, it was clean and had everything one would need camping. Geof the host was very kind and easy to communicate with, answered whatever questions we had. Look forward to returning in the future, definitely found our special place in RRG.

Cleanest and most thoughtful VRBO we have stayed in. We had everything we needed. Loved the guest reference binder to help with hikes and local establishments. Hot tub was clean and HOT. Just perfect.

Geof and the place were both great! It was very easy to get in, and the place had absolutely everything you could ever want or need. The area surrounding is also beautiful! And there was a bonus that the neighbor's dog came up for a quick visit :) over all, a really good stay! We would absolutely come back if we were in the area again!

We loved our short stay at Sheltowee Cabin, the place was clean, comfortable and private, with great proximity to just about anything you’d want to do in RRG. The host is exceptional—responsive and helpful, generous with advise, and thoughtfully provides all kinds of area reference resources for guests so they can get as much out of their time as they’d like without having to do a lot of research an trial-and-error exploring. We will definitely be back!

First time in eastern KY mountains. Have stayed in other mountain cabins in woods but this one certainly meets the definition of "secluded". First time getting there is a trek (white knuckle at times on curvy, narrow road climbing the mountain) but once done and know what to expect it's fine. Really great location to Red River Gorge and other park / hiking / arches areas. A bit of a drive for eats / drinks but again, once familiar with the area, pretty easy. Good food and people. It's actually a mobile home with cabin facade - beautiful, large, covered deck with rockers and ceiling fans - and is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Host was great with communication, information, gracious hospitality!

This property was very clean and well appointed. The hot tub was a big plus. AC/heating worked well though not much in need at this time of year. The kitchen is well supplied with dishes, cookware and silverware. A top of the line clothes washer and dryer are available. Will highly likely return to this property for a return trip to the Red River Gorge. Very much enjoyed.
