Marywood Cottage is family-owned and operated, and we look forward to welcoming you! Our home features high-end finishes, spacious living areas, and a fantastic backyard designed to accommodate two to four families or large groups with ease.

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Lakes area—known as a golfer’s paradise—the cottage sits on a private cove of Lake Mecosta, an all-sports lake connected to two additional lakes. Together, they span over 700 acres of spring-fed, crystal-clear water. Start your day with a sunrise coffee on the deck, swim in the sandy-bottom lake, and end the evening with a bonfire on the beach as the sun sets.

Guests enjoy 100 ft of private sandy beachfront, a dock, kayaks, and pedal boat (available May–October). The public boat launch is just two minutes away, making it easy to bring your own boat for tubing, fishing, wakeboarding, or cruising.

Our keyless entry system makes check-in hassle-free! Each guest receives a unique, secure door code — just enter your code and enjoy sole access to the property.

Guests have access to the entire house, except for the basement utility room and garage. This is our personal family cottage, so we kindly ask that you treat it with care and respect.

Check-in / Check-out: Check-in is after 4:00 PM; check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in may be available for an additional fee.

We want your stay at Marywood Cottage to be as smooth and enjoyable as possible! You can reach us anytime through the VRBO app or via text — whichever is easiest for you.

Home vs. Hotel: You’re staying in a private home, not a hotel. Please respect the neighbors and the space. We respond to issues as quickly as possible, but no one is on-site 24/7.

Property Services: Lawn care and hot tub servicing may occur during your stay. Staff will do their best not to interrupt your time at the cottage.

Travel Insurance: We recommend purchasing travel insurance for cancellations or weather issues. We cannot issue refunds for weather-related or travel delays.

Check-in / Check-out: Check-in is after 4:00 PM; check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in may be available for an additional fee.

Parking: Up to 6 vehicles allowed on the property. No on-street parking allowed.

Complementary Items: We provide starter supplies of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, laundry detergent, a dish sponge, and trash bags. Guests should plan to purchase more if needed.

Cleaning: The home is thoroughly cleaned before and after each stay.
