Diablo Lake is a reservoir in the North Cascade mountains of northern Washington state, United States. Created by Diablo Dam, the lake is located between Ross Lake and Gorge Lake on the Skagit River at an elevation of 1,201 feet (366 m) above sea level.
The unique, intense turquoise hue of the lake's water is attributed to the surrounding glaciers that grind rocks into a fine powder that is carried into the lake through creeks. That fine powder stays suspended in the lake, giving the water its brilliant color. #nationalpark #roadtrip

“The setting was spectacular, and the location is great for exploring. The rooms are well equipped and appointed, the staff is friendly and responsive, and the food was great. Our only issue with the room was that the Keurig coffee maker was kind of in a corner where there was no lighting. Adding a lighting option in that area would be a big help, especially when one room occupant awakens first and wants to get coffee in the morning.
