“This house was great for my husband and myself. The location was excellent. The house was very clean and had many updated items. I really appreciated the gas stove and a frying pan that you could actually use for cooking. I would highly recommend this house to people staying in the Salem area although it is only an hour from Portland. So it might be an option for that as well. We found the original pancake house. “A beautiful cozy home welcomed us. It was perfect for our stay. The hosts were gracious and kind, and willing to help out with whatever we needed. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this home and these hosts! (Plus there is a wonderful little coffee shop close by)! ”

“This place was the prefect spot for a quiet weekend getaway. So close to vineyards and the festival in Independence. The cottage fits so many comveniences in a compact space and still feels comfortable to lounge. The outdoor deck with the hot tub is next to both the guest house and the host's home, but they made a point to ensure our privacy. The grounds are beautiful and expansive with many other outdoor places to enjoy. The river is about a hundred yards away. A little far to carry...

“What a lovely relaxing little place to spend a week. We were in town so one of our kids & a friend could attend a basketball camp. This cottage had everything we needed (minus wash cloths but we got a couple at wal mart). Our youngest child claimed the loft area as her own & enjoyed sleeping up there. The other beds were very comfy. The shower was the best. The neighborhood is a mix of old & new homes and enormous beautiful oak trees. Salem has a large unhoused population and some little camps...

“Cozy, quaint cottage in a great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants in Silverton. Tastefully decorated and nicely updated kitchen and bathroom. Very comfortable! A nice, quiet neighborhood and peaceful back deck overlooking the creek.”

“Cute cottage. Very nicely renovated space. BUT anyone with any mobility challenges or any nervousness about stairs should probably not choose this spot. The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep and a bit unusual. Bedroom and bath are on separate floors and the bedroom had a steeply sloped ceiling. Very picturesque, cozy, well furnished, etc but may not work for everyone.”

“Excellent location: walkable to downtown; easy access to US highways for day trips (w/in one hour of the coast); quiet, quaint neighborhood. Excellent property: immaculate, well-furnished; kitchen modern, spotless, a cook's heaven--you could effortlessly prepare and host a seven-course, Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen. If the host did long-term leases, I'd rent Vine Street Cottage for a year and forego apartment hunting.”
