Such a comfortable little house. Loved having two living areas. The view to the back is serene and the back porch is just perfect for morning coffee. The kitchen is very well equipped and the home is so well appointed. We three thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and the obvious care given to this charming country home. We will hope to be back! Thank you to our gracious host, Crystal for her hospitality and quick responses!

Nice place in a great location. Close to multiple Meramec River access points. Our river excursions were mostly flooded out due to the historic rain and flooding, but we were able to fish in the pond on the property and caught a few small panfish/bluegill and a small largemouth, which definitely helped our 7 year old and 3 year old develop an interest in fishing more! We loved staying here and look forward to staying again in the future!!

10 min outside of steelville, this beautiful home is seated on private peace of land. The home Definitely is spacious and can accommodate a group (family). Everything you may need to be comfortable. We had a blast over the 4th of July wknd. The rivers are always a blast. There is so many things to do right around this home. We will definitely be back when needing a home base when hiking,floating,or just sight seeing.Thank you! -The armadillo(s) may come to visit.

The Rockhouse was extremely clean, neat, and beautifully decorated. The property was mowed and neat. The area where the cottage is located was very quiet. Our host, Crystal was very friendly and quick to answer our questions. We were centrally located to surrounding areas and found everything we needed. We were about 5 minutes from Maramec Spring. There was great antique malls and other thrift shopping in Bourbon, Rolla, Doolittle, St James, and Cuba. We were able to get groceries in Steelville with is the closest town to the cottage.This was a great get away and just what we needed.

Exceptional stay and the Host was great to accommodate us when needed. Peaceful stay and loved the beautiful home and well kept property. Slept well in the bed and such an enjoyable stay. Would definitely look at reservations for future!

Great place, comfortable furniture, and beautiful property to include a fishing pond. We will definitely stay here again. Communication with the property manager was excellent.

Great stay for a float trip weekend

My buddies and I go on float trips every Labor Day weekend, this place was a great place to stay and relax when we’re off the river.

The decor here is neutral, peaceful, very easy on the eyes, and it goes along with the experience you will have here - relaxed, quiet, and lots of natural light. Keep in mind that you are on the edge of the woods and a large field and yet, zero bugs in the house! I think this is also a testament to the cleanliness of the house and the mildly minimalist, uncluttered furnishings. We were here in late June and the fireflies every evening were amazing! I haven’t seen this many in a long time! I love hearing the whippoorwills too. My brother and his family stopped by one evening (they were staying at a different rental in town) and he’s already decided this is where he wants to stay when they return in the fall!
