'Il Re degli Old Time' Log Cabin

  • POSTI LETTO 9 - La nostra baita autentica è stata costruita nei primi anni '30 ed è stata recentemente restaurata. Si trova quasi 300 acri tranquilli lungo il fiume Meramec e ha affaccio sul fiume per il tuo divertimento. Abbiamo accesso fiume facile e un piccolo bar di ghiaia. Gite in barca in canoa o in gommone possono essere disponibili su prenotazione a pagamento. Camera da letto # 1 ha un letto matrimoniale, credenza antica, e un camino. Il bunkroom ha un letto completo, un letto singolo, e una serie di letti a castello. La sala da pranzo veranda sul retro per 12 persone e ha un sacco di spazio per i giochi e le attività (abbiamo diversi tra cui scegliere o portare il proprio). C'è una TV, cavo e lettore VCR / DVD (abbiamo anche alcuni film), ma nessun internet ... PERFETTO! La cucina è fornita anche! C'è spazio per montare una tenda (o più a pagamento)! Rilassarsi lontano dallo stress della nostra vacanza tranquilla e fare molti nuovi ricordi. Questo posto è il luogo perfetto per fuggire da tutto e 'agitato' pur godendo le moderne comodità di casa!

it was 20 degrees outside when I got to cabin. owner forgot to adjust thermostat so it was 45 inside cabin. got to 50 in cabin by 10pm, and didnt get into 60s in cabin til next day. Also had to kill 24 wasps inside cabin. owners did respind with extra wasp spray and traps. overall a really nice place with good room for dog to run and had river access which was realky high. bad timing weatherwise. if improve wasp problem would possibly return

Perfect Escape!

We stayed here over the holiday weekend of 4th of July 2024. Had such a wonderful time enjoying the property. LOVED the river and hope to be back there again this year!

Wonderful Rustic cabin

Due to weather, we spent most of our time at the cabin. Which was a great time. Games were available and we enjoyed smores and the fire pit. All around nice experience. Would highly recommend it to others to stay there.

Relaxing and Peaceful

This is a great place!!! Elaine was wonderful to work with and full of great information!! We mostly hung out at the river, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! If you wan seclusion this is the place for you!!!

Beautiful, isolated and accommodating

We really enjoyed our fall trip there. The cabin was one of the best parts of the trip. We went to see the cave and hike but the cabin was truly a lovely experience by itself. The hosts were very accommodating when we needed wood or Wi-Fi. (My phone was on the brink).

Short getaway

We didn’t get to stay long but we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. It rained but there was so much to do in the cabin it was great! The river access is so nice. Just a half mile from the cabin in the truck. You take all you need and have it all with you! The inside was so nice and rustic. Had a great big tub/shower and comfy bed!

Wonderful!

I have stayed here in the past and LOVE IT! Off the beaten path, quiet, rustic, but not too rustic. VERY comfortable and has everything you need. Build a fire in the fire pit, smores, sit on the porch, listen to the cows. Walk or drive down to the meramec river and fish, access on property. A wonderful place to reset..love, love, love!

Adorable and rustic

It was a cute little cabin. We enjoyed playing games and skipping rocks. It was so cute! The only downfall was the driveway. We would stay again if we visit our son at college.

Great Cabin, scenery and location

Love the cabin and the fact you have no neighbors well except the cows. So pretty and trail to river was fun for the bunch of us. Can't wait to return when we have warmer weather so we can float the river. Owners are wonderful to work with and very helpful. A+++

Perfect Cabin Getaway

The property was just as listed. Great location, great directions, and the perfect peaceful weekend in the country. We enjoyed the firepit/grill area and sitting on the front porch watching the cows and wildlife. We loved sitting by the river and the path to access the river was easy to navigate. The cabin is close to many activities, we loved the area. The host was timely in responses and we would highly recommend this cabin to all who want to escape to the country.

Love this place!

This is my 4th stay here, absolutely love it! I always sleep great here, love waking up to the birds and cattle! Everyone I bring here with me asks when we can come back to THE cabin. Elaine is very helpful and responds quickly. Feel that this is my home away from home. About 15 min from one of the best trout parks in Missouri. Thank you Elaine and Family😘😘😘

Couples Getaway!

Such a relaxing weekend! Four of us (2 couples) stayed the weekend and just relaxed and had a wonderful time. We spent a day down at the river, and the rest of the time we hung out in the cabin or around the fire. What a great way to unplug! Kitchen was well equipped. Owners very responsive! Highly recommend!!

Away from it all

Amazing property that is appropriately named! The cabin is clean and stocked with everything you could need for an old-fashioned relaxing getaway (and wifi if you happen to have a teenager who HAS to connect with his friends 😉). Shower was hot, kitchen was stocked, beds were comfortable! Owner is super friendly & responsive. Book it. You won’t be disappointed!

Relaxing weekend

We had an amazing weekend despite the rain. The cabin was perfect to just sit and relax. The property afforded us total privacy with only the pleasing sounds of nature. We were visited by a buck on the first morning and watched a couple of fawn prancing near the banks of the Meramac. We even caught a couple different varieties of fish that we released since they were too small. We can’t wait to book this cabin again! Thank you Elaine fir being an awesome host.

Treasure on the farm

A quick trip from the city. We had a memorable time at this quaint cabin. The river was a refreshing treat, just a short walk down the farm's road. So you can bring you kayak and float the Meramac or rent a boat near by. My dogs ran and played until they dropped. Games are provided in a wonderful sunroom. A complimentary bag of ingredients for Smores was a treat. We definitely will be back and suggest friends to book also.

Charming cabin, gorgeous backdrop, kind people

My husband, our two adult children, and our chocolate lab stayed for four nights. The minute we walked in, we knew it’d be the perfect retreat. It’s very cozy and you can tell how much effort the owners have put into preserving this piece of their family’s heritage. The cabin is clean and the bedding is comfortable. We loved walking to the river every day, birdwatching (owls, pileated woodpeckers, American bluebirds, northern flickers), playing giant jenga on the porch, roasting marshmallows, and playing horseshoes. The owners are so kind and genuine, and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for our family. There’s plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed Peaceful Bend Winery (also such nice people), Meramac Caverns, Lange General Store, and Meramac Springs Park. We will be back!
