“This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! The hut was perfect, the bed extremely comfortable with high-quality linens and duvet/pillows. Kitchen very well-supplied with everything I needed (and more). “Kitchen and floors were not clean at all. Food still stuck to cutlery and dirty glasses. Grubby work tops. Lots of cobwebs in the house, which is due to lack of cleaning. Bed & bathroom were clean enough. No mirrors in any of the rooms, we had to share 1 mirror in the landing between 5 girls which isn’t that great. To be honest if you’re not overly fussy or care where you stay it’s a great location and quiet village. ”
