The booking in process was ok. From there on in it was a terrible experience. No pillowcases were left in the room, the toilet had dried urine stains around the rim, along with curly hairs, the kettle was manky, the carpet didnt look like it had been vacuumed, under the bed hadn't been vacuumed for ages, the inside of the windows had dirt and mould, and the room stank of stale smoke - as proven by the amount of cigarette butts outside the window. The surfaces in the room were dirty and covered in dust. The 'Internet room' booked didnt even show the hotel network, let alone join it -could only join by standing in the foyer.
The whole place was just shabby, unkempt and smelt of cigarettes and dope.
The pool/jacuzzi advertised belonged to the gym next door and a premium was charged for its usage.
There was also a large screw poking out of the wardrobe, in a family room!
The only good point was that the car park was large, although it looked like a patch of wasteland. The immediate surrounding area (outside the front of the hotel) was a magnet for antisocial behaviour.
If they charged £30 per night I wouldnt be complaining, but £87??!!!
