Benvenuti al RedSmith Ranch, un rifugio di lusso situato su una collina in mezzo a vigneti ondulati, dove la regione vinicola della California incontra le colline ai piedi delle montagne della Sierra Nevada.
Il ranch
Il ritiro al RedSmith Ranch è un meraviglioso 6.500 piedi quadrati. Casa in stile coloniale spagnolo recentemente restaurata per stile moderno e comfort. La casa dispone di autentici pavimenti in argilla fatti a mano, pareti interne intonacate a mano, soffitti con travi in legno in tutto, grandi caminetti in pietra, porte in rovere spesse 2-1 / 2 ", tra le molte altre caratteristiche uniche. L'arredamento è in stile rustico moderno, con opere d'arte e arredi originali della metà del secolo.

Le ampie aree comuni della casa si aprono verso l'esterno con grandi finestre e porte in vetro con cornice in quercia che offrono splendide viste sulla piscina, sui vigneti, sui giardini, sui patii e sulle fontane. Questa casa è stata progettata per intrattenere, con 16 "x 33" soggiorno e 19 "x 28" camera familiare che si aprono su due separati bar con pannelli in legno. La casa dispone di una cucina per chef gourmet ben fornita, un'ampia sala da pranzo con tavolo in legno massiccio che può ospitare 12 e posti a sedere in cucina per 8. La splendida master suite, la camera dei bambini, il bagno completo e il bagno di servizio sono situati al primo piano. Il secondo piano dispone di quattro camere da letto matrimoniali perfettamente situate per godere della vista del tramonto, oltre a due bagni completi. 14 posti letto. Questa "Smart Home" offre Internet ad alta velocità ovunque sul posto, un sistema audio con tre zone; dentro, davanti e dietro con un totale di 28 altoparlanti per ascoltare la tua musica preferita.
Il sito
Il ritiro è situato nel mezzo di centinaia di acri di vigneto, con 4 acri di alberi maturi, prati, giardini e cortili con fontane. Un'esperienza privata spettacolare! La piscina è il luogo ideale per rinfrescarsi durante i caldi mesi estivi. Uccelli e farfalle a bizzeffe! Vi sono otto aree patio separate, ognuna con vista, carattere e disposizione dei posti a sedere. Altre caratteristiche includono: ampie aree per giochi da giardino e meandri; area giochi esterna coperta con ping pong, freccette, tavolo da gioco; vibrante roseto da godere. Quest'inverno pianteremo un orto per il tuo divertimento. Il campo da bocce sul lato del vigneto sarà completato a fine primavera. I bambini adoreranno posare il telefono e correre intorno a questa proprietà: giocare, arrampicarsi sugli alberi, cercare insetti, dondolarsi sulle corde, dormire all'aperto sotto le stelle. Di notte il cielo è sereno e le stelle sono luminose. Getta un tronco nel camino esterno e incontra vecchi amici….
L'area
Questa regione vinicola di Lodi offre cantine grandi e piccole premiate aperte per degustazioni e musica dal vivo frequente, il tutto in pochi minuti di auto dal Ranch. La Cantina Bokisch si trova dall'altra parte della strada rispetto al Ranch, fa una bella passeggiata serale dopo aver sorseggiato i loro acclamati vini spagnoli. La natura selvaggia del fiume Mokelumne è a 10 minuti di distanza, per kayak, rafting e paddle boarding. Altre attività nelle vicinanze includono il ciclismo sulle strade secondarie delle colline ondulate, i sentieri escursionistici nelle vicine Sierras inferiori intorno a laghi e fiumi (20 minuti), esplorando le città della corsa all'oro di Jackson, Sutter Creek, Mokelumne Hill, (30 minuti) e molti altri . Downtown Lodi (20 minuti) ha il carattere caratteristico di una cittadina rurale della valle con negozi dell'usato, birrerie e ristoranti. The home was exactly as described in the listing, and being there in person was simply marvelous. There are so many places where we could visit as a small group or get away by ourselves to read or to play with all 16 of us. There were plenty of places where we could eat as a group of 16 or have appetizers before dinner in a different location. It felt like we were at a resort. The view from the swimming pool reminded us of both Spain and Italy. The kitchen was fabulous and allowed us all to participate in cooking together. We planned a patio boat rental for one day of the week that included a spiral slide down from the second floor, a bathroom, and a grill. It was a perfect get away. Midweek.

What a gem! RedSmith Ranch is a large estate in a quiet, farming town that has ample space to relax, both inside and out - plenty of gathering spaces on the main level, enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate our large group, and beautiful grounds surrounding the house. Activities outside included a basketball hoop, table tennis, an archery set, and bocce ball, so there was plenty to do for the adults and kids. We had the whole property to ourselves, so it felt like we owned our own family vineyard for the weekend! And the property was extremely well stocked with all of the supplies we needed for the rental. Host Del could not be any more kind and accommodating to our group - he was very responsive leading up to the rental period and stopped by in person on our first day to check if we had any questions about the house. Most restaurants and stores were at least 20 minutes away from the house, so this property is a better fit for "getting away" instead of being "close to the action" (which worked just fine for our group!). The only two downsides we experienced - there was a large amount of mosquitos throughout the property (primarily in the front yard and backyard) so we took home a lot of bug bites, and the standalone hot tub was not usable (it had some baby frogs taking a swim themselves!) - but despite that, we still had the time of our lives at RedSmith Ranch! Thank you so much, Del!

The house was beautiful and surrounding area was breathtaking. There was a lot of equipment to keep us busy. Archery, croquet, cornhole. We did our own meals and the kitchen was well stocked with a fabulous Stove. It was a wonderful experiece for my family.

We stayed for the weekend and had the most wonderful time.. The house was amazing. Everything was perfectly clean. We loved the outdoors and we danced inside and outside. There were so many things to do. And we also enjoyed some time at Bokisch winery across the street. It was perfect!

The property was huge and gorgeous. The pool was ice cold even when it was sunny in late September, but we did hot tub and then cold plunge. We loved the veggies (tons of tomatoes and herbs) and fruit trees (when we were there only calamansi was ripe). I particularly enjoyed the archery setup--never done it before and it was very satisfying. Indoor area was thoughtful and well appointed. One of the guests went for a run and saw some goats and a pony--the sunsets were also gorgeous. Great hosting location! The host must have been busy when we arrived. He said he would invite us in and show us a tour, but came 3-4 hours after we'd arrived and focused on getting a delivery of paper towels instead of greeting us. The tour was a verbal rundown of things while we were in the driveway rather than any walkthrough of the house. There was also a lot of confusion and apparently anxiety on the host's side about a separate contract he'd sent, indicated we didn't need to sign, and then freaked out that we hadn't yet signed. I assume it was just an off day for him, as he was otherwise very responsive over text.

We had our intimate wedding at RedSmith Ranch, with our families staying on the property. It was the most incredible weekend of our lives. The house and property continued to amaze us and our guests. All of the rooms were comfortable and beautiful, the property was breathtaking, and the house’s ability to host such a beautiful event was unmatched. Not to mention how wonderful Del was to work with throughout the whole process! You can tell how much pride and love they put into the house— it shows in every thoughtful detail. We will definitely be back!

RedSmith Ranch is a beautiful property with so much to do. From the pool, basketball hoop, to archery, you will never be bored. We hosted our wedding on property, and there was plenty of space for rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception dinner and dancing. There were also endless places to take photos. The Ranch exceeded our expectations and I truly could not have imagined a better place to host our family and friends for our wedding.

Another wonderful family vacation spent at this location. The home, grounds and pools are beautiful. So many activities to do: archery, basketball, ping-pong, bocce ball (a family favorite). We are a large family and nice, clean, large vacation homes with great amenities are hard to find! But what really brings it all together is the host, Del. He is so accommodating, he installed handrails in the master bedroom for my parents for this return trip. My dad will be turning 100 and my mom is 92. They are is great shape in mind and body but they both use a cane or walker from time to time especially at night time. So the handrails were a blessing and gave the rest of the family peace of mind when mom and dad or grandpa & grandma went to bed at night. He stopped by to make sure all was good and left a coupon for a pie shop in town, which the kids later went and got three homemade pies!! Thank you so very much, Del The Castellucci's

This ranch house and gardens are stunning! We arrived to ring the bell at the entryway with a party of nineteen for our parents’ 50th anniversary. Everything is setup so thoughtfully and welcomingly, with many pleasant areas to sit and chat. The garden has tons of shade trees and umbrellas for the hot summer afternoons around the pool or spa. There’s a great sound system outside for ambiance. There’s archery, bocce, ping pong, volleyball, and tons of activities for everyone to play together, from kids to adults. Our local host, Del, met us personally for a tour and was always charming, hospitable, and responsive to the questions and requests we had for our party. We cannot recommend Del and RedSmith Ranch too highly! We hope to be back.

Perfect week for our family of 17 ages from 87 to 18. Large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably. So many spots to escape to for quiet times. The variety of activities kept everyone occupied. Grocery shopping was convenient and youngsters enjoyed Lodi. The Biglieri Farm and Young Payless were particularly of note. We are an Italian family of great cooks. We prepared all of our meals on site. The kitchen was well stocked and enjoyed by all. The family rated this one of the favorite rentals we have experienced.

The property is beautiful. The gardens, the views, the pool/hot tub, games and activities available along with several cozy sitting areas to relax and enjoy visiting with our family, were wonderful and memorable experiences for everyone. The host Del, provided us on our arrival a detailed overview of the property and home. The home has a very grand layout and was well stocked with all of the kitchen utensils, tools and dish ware you would need to prepare meals. Additionally, you are surrounded by restaurants, grocery stores and a multitude of activities in Lodi. The property is perfect for large family gatherings. Our entire family had a wonderful time, thank you Del for sharing this gorgeous home.

Had a great time at Red Smith Ranch! Stayed there for UOP graduation with a group of 14 family members. Plenty of room for everyone in common areas. Bedrooms were comfortable & entire house was nicely decorated. Plenty of kitchen area for gathering when cooking breakfast (lots of essentials provided for cooking) & plenty of eating area too. Grounds were beautiful & well maintained. Lots to do while outside. Swimming, hot tub, fire pit area to make s’mores & herb garden to use. Played bocci ball, a little archery & ping pong. There was so much outdoor space to just walk around & enjoy as a group or for alone time & soothing sounds of water fountains to make sitting outside relaxing. Farmland views were amazing! Had a catered meal on sight by a Chef recommended by Del & the meal was delicious. Lots of table room & gorgeous weather to enjoy our after graduation meal. Location is convenient to downtown Lockeford & Lodi & getting Stockton did not take long. So much to see & do while staying at Red Smith Ranch that we wish we could have stayed longer! Del was very accommodating with flexibility of checking in/checking out. Definitely recommend Red Smith Ranch for your next big family gathering. You’ll have a fantastic time resting & having fun!

This has to be one of the best homes we have ever rented! The house itself is so spacious, so many seating areas. Outside areas are fantastic, we enjoyed playing all the games and using the hot tub. Del was extremely welcoming and everything was explained well. We will be back!

The country villa was so beautiful. The landscape was amazing with a vegetable and rose garden. Del and Jennifer thought of everything imaginable for a delightful stay. It was festive in fall colors with assorted pumpkin decor throughout the entire property. The amenities were unique and thoughtful. We recently held an intimate wedding here and when we arrived at the property, our immediate thought was “this is EVEN BETTER than the photos online.” Del was so helpful during booking & planning, and when we arrived, Del’s partner Marne became our contact throughout our stay and was quick to respond and help us with anything that we needed. As our stay was at the end of October, we missed a lot of the flowers on the property, but that didn’t detract from the beauty of the grounds. Unfortunately, it was a little too cold to use the pool, but the hot tub was a highlight. Also, the house comes with so many fun outdoor games and activities! The house was a homey space that felt lived in and we felt so comfortable just being there and using it as a home is meant to be used. It was clear that comfort and fun were priorities in designing and decorating the house. The kitchen was very well appointed, and there was plenty of seating for our large family. The bedrooms were clean, comfortable, and roomy. And despite the number of people staying in the house, they were quiet – guests could sleep even if people were still enjoying themselves. We would 100% recommend Red Smith Ranch to anyone looking to host a family gathering, wedding, or event. We couldn’t be happier to have made some really important memories there. We thirteen go on a biennial family vacation and this was the best yet. We stayed a week, and didn't come close to exhausting its spaces and amenities. Great pool and spa, fresh produce from the garden, pickle ball, corn hole, croquet, archery--wow. Deluxe kitchen, fully appointed, and big tables for family meals. A few glitches that Del took care of right away. Shade trees, pool, and air conditioning mitigated oppressive heat. Several excursions possible, but apart from wine tasting, we were happy to stay at home.

Del is a gracious host who was very communicative and always there to help. We had a few hiccups with the internet and fridge and he was prompt to problem solve and get things in working order. The property is just gorgeous with lots of citrus trees and a fig tree and a vegetable garden we utilized during our stay. We made fresh salsa and it was so delicious! Outdoor cinema and pool were the best. House stayed nice and cool during a hot spell. Winery down the street you can walk to. Patio boat rental with waterslide at nearby Camanche Lake. We.ll be back next year for sure!!

We rent a home every summer and our 4 children, spouses, 6 grandchildren, & 1 dog, spend the time together. This house was perfect for our family of 16 people, as were the grounds which included a wonderful pool and many fun things to do around the property!
