“Lady who checked us in was really helpful, nothing was too much trouble even though she was really busy. Restaurant staff were welcoming and friendly. There was a long gap between our starter and getting our main meal which was the only downside. We had to ask for the child’s meal to be brought as it was getting quite late. Food was hot and tasty when it was eventually served. Booking a slot in the pool was easy. Our room was clean, well stocked with toiletries, tea and coffee and the beds were...

“This hotel is absolutely perfect. The owner was the nicest guy you could ever meet. Couldnt do enough for you and was genuinely friendly and interested in talking to us. The hotel itself was immaculate and well presented. The breakfast was outstanding. The room itself was comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable and good pillows.... not many hotels offer that. We stayed here to go to alton towers so was perfect location. We without a doubt will be staying here again and would recommend...

“We were greated by a friendly recepcionist who was very helpful and polite. The bedroom was clean and spacious with everything needed for a short stay. The buffet style breadfast was plentiful and well cooked. The hotel is very close to the centre of town. Ideal if going to the Regent Theatre as it is only a short 5 minute walk away. Would recommend this hotel if staying in Stoke”

“If you can look past the area that the 'George Hotel' is in then you have a beautiful old building with a very interesting history behind it. Yes the property could do with some investment and renovation, but the building inside was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff were all very friendly. In its hayday this would have been a wonderful building”
