Mothers Day weekend
Brought my mom and her puppy for an extended weekend . The second bedroom and extra sleep quarters are upstairs and the stairwell was very steep so my mother had to sleep in the master while my husband and I had to climb the stairs . The picture depicts the property exactly the way it is . It is quiet and very tranquil . Thanks for a great weekend !

Such a nice property for a quiet getaway! Loved the water views from multiple rooms and the yard that led up to the waterfront. My husband and I enjoyed the watercrafts that allowed us to get out on the water. Check in was super easy and communication with the host was great. This was a perfect option for us!

Nice cabin on good lake front property.
very nice. we are family without kid(s). It would be better with more adult kayaks and oars. We plan to rent this property in this fall. We will enjoy and relax more if there is a 6 - 8 persons hot tub with the cabin :)

Great Lake House Amenities
We came to the area to go to Turner Falls and Sulphur Springs. But the kids ended up having more fun on the lake next to the house. My sons woke up early because they were excited to go fishing (caught 10 fish in two days) and go kayaking. The other area attractions were a bonus, but this house stole the show.

Enjoyable Get Away
We enjoyed our stay! Very clean and relaxing home. Deck area needed cleaned of debris on furniture before we used it, but easy fix. Dock walkway was broken and slippery. Stove needs leveled which made difficult to cook. Overall this was a great place to stay and would recommend to anyone and would stay again!

Hidden gem!
All the beauty and privacy of your own getaway but easily able to enjoy all that the Arbuckles have to offer. Fully equipped and beds slept well. Saw 5 deer as we sat outside on the patio!!

Dingy and extremely dirty
This place was disgusting. As soon as we got there we battled multiple flies and mosquitoes in the kitchen. The whole house was very, very dirty, including unwashed bathroom mirror and faucet and numerous cobwebs, some with trapped insects in them. There was even a cobweb attached to the kitchen faucet, making it extremely improbable that the kitchen faucet had been cleaned. Windows looking outside had hand prints/smudges/filth on the inside and outside. There was a tortilla chip on a kitchen chair. There was what appeared to be dried pasta on the kitchen floor. The place might have been nice 50 years ago, but now it seems dingy and worn. The blanket on the bed had dirty spots. The bath hand towel was threadbare, and the bath towels had bleach stains on them. I have better rags than the towels provided. And on departure the guest is to start a load of towels, with instructions to use the quick cycle. So they are not even adequately cleaned pathetic towels. Ewe. Even worse than the filth was the lack of communication with the managers/owners. I made several phone calls, starting the first night. The manager brought me a can of Hot Shot Flying Insect Killer and told me to spray the kitchen. Of course I didn't since the directions say to only use inside if you evacuate and ventilate. There was no way to ventilate since many screens were obviously not fitted with large gaps to let in more insects. I made several more calls to manager's home, cell, and both owners cell phones. The manager texted me that "the previous guests left a huge mess and apparently it could not all be completed as usual" and offered to refund the cleaning fee. Seriously? She knew it was not completely cleaned? Check in was at 3, we didn't get there until after 5 pm, and no one was there attempting to clean. Finally the owner stopped by the day before we were to leave after I had cleaned the place, and I was able to share my opinions. She offered to refund one night stay. That did not happen until I sent a message to the property manager 10 days later, and she said she did not complete the transfer. Nice. Even with my "discounted" rate, this place was WAY overpriced and nasty.

Always a great trip
We have stayed at this property before. It is comfortable, clean, equipped with games and movies, and easy access to the water. We enjoyed going out in the canoe and paddleboards; lifevests are provided. A relaxing, fun, place to stay.

Cozy cabin
The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed to prepare meals, my husband had no luck on catching any fish but still had a good time. The only down fall was the WiFi, but we came to relax and unwind , so that really didn’t bother us, we really enjoyed our mornings sitting on the back deck looking over the lake, very peaceful. Very good location . Turner Falls was a very short distance, Walmart was just a short drive , would definitely recommend this place.

It was just okay
Family reunion 8 people all over 55, including elderly parents. First of all the physical address on VRBO is incorrect, so it was difficult to find. It was not stocked as it should be for that many people for 4 days. (no bath soap, not enough dish soap, or toilet paper, an empty propane tank, etc). It may sleep 8, (on some old uncomfortable beds, with completely flat pillows) but it does not actually accommodate 8 as there is only dining available for 6 with no extra chairs. And speaking of chairs, several on the deck were broken. Several items didn't work (toaster, grill, mixer), the "hot" water was spotty (mostly luke warm at best) and there was a lack of some dining utensils (only 4 butter knives and absolutely no steak knives, no glass bowls for use in the microwave, etc) A bit disappointing to say the least, especially with what is being charged per night. I will say that the owner came by, and he was extremely nice and was glad we brought these things to his attention. He came back over a little later and even brought us a brand new toaster. I have hope that the issues we had will be resolved soon. It was a great central location, but the lake is not for swimming! Scary! And speaking of scary, that staircase! Wow! Not safe for elderly family members or small children. All in all, it was just ok, but the location and owner were great! It would be a really awesome place with a little bit of updating. and better property management that sets up the necessary amenities for the number of people and days booked, prior to quests arrival.

Beautiful And Relaxing Property
This was our first time renting a BNB type of deal. The experience was very easy and lacked the stress of booking everything. The whole family enjoyed the beautiful home, amazing view from the patio and the lake in the back yard. It was exactly what we all needed!!

Loved this cabin
This house was very cute. Not new so it’s not perfect, but it’s very nice and very clean. We were quite comfortable there. You will not get bored staying at this house. So many things to do! The owners left all of these adorable notes all over the house, and they must be very nice folks. Very sweet and helpful. My only complaint is that the wifi was really bad. No cell signal there either. I could barely make a phone call. But with so much to do at this adorable place with a beautiful lake view, you probably won’t miss your phone at all. Very close to Turner Falls and Arbuckle Wilderness. We will most definitely be coming back for a longer stay.

Great property
We stayed here for Thanksgiving with our family. It was such a pretty property and the house was so cute. There’s lots of fun activities to do here and lots of areas to just relax. We plan to come back when it’s warmer so we can play in the water more. Our family would definitely recommend staying here!

Wonderful Family Experience
We had a wonderful time enjoying nature, the scenery, the cabin, the games, the water, everything was just perfect for our family. The kids and grandkids had a ball, and the fishing was fun! Lots of games to keep the kids busy in the evenings, just a really nice time!

Rest and relaxation
The family was looking forward to some R&R and the Chalet fit the bill. The view was nice and peaceful. My daughter loved the hammock and swings. The adults loved sitting out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of nature.

WONDERFUL
The property was everything I could have imagined plus a whole lot more. There was so much to do that the only time we HAD to leave the property was to get food. I never heard "I'm bored" from the kids. They were outside from the time they rolled out of bed till dark, then played inside with the board games till they couldn't hold their eyes open any longer. The owner came a visited with us and was very personable and even offered to look into the Wii that wasn't working. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking to get away, but afraid of spending too much money on keeping the kids entertained. We will be back!!

Excellent Stay with a rough ending!
We arrived and the place was great. Had welcome gift and everything was clean. Perfect size for for our family of 6. It was a little wet, but the owner had plenty of things to do inside with games. Now the rough part after a couple days after we left the owner tried to charge us money for a leg on a foosball table that broke when the cleaning people said it was broke when they moved it. I can tell you for certain that this wasn’t the case. I am 48 yrs old and I played a game on it with my 11 yr old son 10 minutes before I left and it worked great and gave great memories and time with my son, that he even asked if we could buy one. Anyway short story is owner charged us. So I would make sure you take pics of things if you rent this property. The great thing was VRBO was awesome and they refunded us the $50 the owner tried to take from us. I will definitely use VRBO again. Thank You again VRBO for the trust you showed us!!!!

Hi, VRBO did not refund the money. It was us - even though we were fairly certain that the damage was done during your stay The foosball table was dragged to a different area in the room and it had the broken leg then. The owners always keep it in the same place. Please check the reservation conversations on VRBO and you will notice that we refunded the 50.00. We want our guests to have a good time and are not in the habit of charging damages that have not occurred. We refunded the money because we wanted to avoid long arguments and we were not present when the damage happened. We have to rely on the honesty of our guests.

We love this place!
This was our 2nd visit to the cabin. It has everything you need to have fun. All you need to bring is fishing gear and food. We love the selection of games inside and find something new to play each day. We love the little lake at the cabin. We made smores on the campfire at night and my husband did lots of fishing. We didn't use the boats this time, but we'll be back in the summer for that! We explored the hiking areas around Veterans Lake and checked out the shops in Sulphur near the casino. Cute little gift & antique stores! Mostly we relaxed and spent time together as a family. This cabin is our happy place!

Peaceful Paradise
The cabin was perfect with a beautiful view. Love the wrap around porch and all of the windows. Enjoyed canoeing, paddle boarding, paddle boating and plenty of games.

Beautiful views
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was very clean and had mostly everything we needed (some of the kitchen supplies were iffy). We took our dogs and didn’t notice the pet fee online so we were caught off guard with the notice to leave $30 for having them there. We enjoyed the paddle boats, fishing, and canoe. Our 3 kids had a great time exploring the property and really loved making friends with the neighborhood dogs (which we were glad the owners warned us about otherwise it would have been a little scary).
