Nice condo

Condo was nice with plenty of room for 4 adults. Location is across from clubhouse check-in, pool and restaurant. We enjoyed sitting on the small balcony listening to live music playing at the pool. The beach is a short drive away. I would have rated 5 stars but condo could use some updates. Beds are 2 twins in each room pushed together for a king but are not comfort. All in all we had a great time.

Dirty Place

The overall unit was dirty and there were many things that were not working well: TV/ Cable, toilets leaked, sinks leaked, bulbs were blown out, remote for TV needed batteries, floor mats outside were filthy and worn out, non-stick pans wet scratched and nasty. Kitchen utensils were dirty: eggs on two spatulas….

Good location but other problems exist

The rental owner sent lots of texts to remind us of things but when I had a problem where I had to involve the police the emergency number for the rental agency and the complex were not accessible. I learned that I have to check out resorts to see if they allow dogs. We had someone who rented below our unit who left two barking dogs in a villa for about two hours. Police officer had no way to find out who the renter was so we didn't get to go to bed until midnight the night before a 600 mile trip.. I emailed both the Sea Trail resort and the customer service for Affordable Properties but neither got back to me as of now. As a result of the other persons renting the unit below having to deal with the police I ended up with a damaged vehicle that had been key scraped down the passenger side doors.. I had four dogs during my lifetime and loved each one but having dogs in resorts and motels invites problems.

Nice Experience

We really enjoyed Sea Trails! It was quiet and close to the beach. The accommodations were good. Nice and clean. We did find one piece of popcorn behind the stand by the couch when we arrived. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay. Communication with owners was exceptional and easy! We would stay there again. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

Nice condo in peaceful golf community

Our trip was not for fun, but rather due to a death in the family. The peaceful surroundings and trouble-free accomodations were a great help in relieving some small degree of our distress.

We won't be back

The staff was great before we arrived and have nothing bad to say at all. The room was another story. It lacked cleanliness in a big way. The toilet, baseboards, trashcan and floors were hardly clean, and I have multiple pictures to prove it. One of the dining room chairs had a huge stain on it like something was spilled there. This condo definitely could use a deep cleaning, especially the floors and baseboards.

Great Place - Listing Discrepancies

The resort called this unit a "King Swing". The pictures look like it has a king size bed and a queen size bed and VRBO lists a King bed; however, there are only 4 twin size beds that can be pushed together. The people at the front desk were nice though and gave us a king size comforter and sheets. This unit also does NOT have a screened in porch as listed. No hand soap, so make sure you bring that! These are only minor things though, and the unit is clean, cute, comfortable and has most of the things you'll need. It is literally a 5 minute drive to sunset beach and only 5 minutes to the grocery store. All of the staff are super friendly. You will receive 1,000 emails from booking to check out, and text messages, so you'll definitely know what to do when you get there and leave! We would definitely consider staying here again.

Too much hassle

I paid for early check in and called the day before to confirm and they confirmed the person that I spoke to said noon was fine. When we arrived I was told 12:30. We left and came back at 12:30 and the door code wouldn’t work. Went back to the office and the person handling check in could not fix it and had to text her manager. I also suggested that a phone call would be quicker but was told that was not how they did things and that the manager would have to reset the code. After another 10 minutes we were able to get in. Once in the unit there were several issues: living room blinds would close, outlet at sink in master bedroom wouldn’t work, therefore hairdryer wouldn’t work, iron was broken (maintenance brought a new one the next day). The property was clean and we enjoyed our stay but was a huge hassle for only 2 nights. I made the reservation in October but postponed until 12/27. I realize that is a slow time of year but with that much notice and a call prior to arrival, there should not have been any issues. Will not go down this road again.
