Disappointed
I stayed in this house with my sister and my 2 children. We were really excited as this was my kids first “beach vacation” upon walking in and walking around we found mold all over the upstairs bathroom and bedrooms. The company did send someone out to “clean” but all they did was spray for the mold and didn’t clean the spots at all. My son and sister are highly allergic to mold and both have asthma. The bedroom fans didn’t work. The bunk beds are extremely uncomfortable! The cleaners clearly don’t move furniture to clean bc it was nothing but dirt and crumbs under the beds and couches. I know roaches are common in the south but we found a bunch in the house in the kitchen on our last day only bc we got up super early and they were on their back and couldn’t flip over. We are now home and are having to bomb and get our car professionally cleaned bc we have found 2 in the car! We loved the location and the decorations were beautiful we would have loved this place had it not been for the mold, roaches and dirt. Loved Holden but will not be staying at this house again. We know people who have rentals down there and would have stayed at their place had it not been booked up. They don’t have mold or roaches in their rentals bc they take the steps and hire a different cleaning company and also use dehumidifiers in their houses. My sister and son have now had to go on steroids bc of their breathing from the mold. Extremely unhappy. The people on the other side of us found a cup of urine under one of their beds as well! They also had mold and found old pizza shoved in bedroom bedside table drawers! Will not recommend this house to anyone!
