“We came across this place purely by chance, as we had a day in hand while driving across the state and were simply looking for somewhere with an outdoor pool for some R&R. What a find, and rather better than some random Hampton Inn!!! It's a beautiful place and even us jaded Brits were impressed with the historic house, the decor and the setting. The hosts were attentive and friendly but, with no other guests there, we really felt we had the place to ourselves. Would highly recommend.”

“My family and I had an excellent stay. We arrived before check-in time and were more than willing to just drop our bags and go, but the staff went out of their way to find an available room and give us a chance to settle in. (We have two small kids so this was extra helpful.) The hotel looks brand new and everything was spotless and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the full size fridge! “We just needed a comfortable place after a long day’s drive, and this hotel was perfect. We also enjoyed walking around Carlisle as we got something to eat close by. “During my stay, the overall environment was quiet and peaceful, which I appreciated. This was actually my second time staying at this location, and coincidentally, I was placed in the same room on both visits. I did notice a consistent, subtle odor in the room—it had the scent of an older space with limited air circulation, carrying a slightly damp or musty smell, with a faint hint of cigarette smoke. While not overpowering, it was noticeable. That said, the room itself was clean and well-kept....
