Escape to this private, secluded main cottage and new guest house just built in 2023, this is a very unique property with two places to enjoy, giving everyone their own space to relax in and spread out or gather together, located on 150 ft frontage of Grand Traverse Bay and sleeps 10. Come and enjoy amazing panoramic views and beautiful water frontage on the bay. The cottage and guest house are very tastefully decorated and furnished for a memorable family experience or perfect friends' get-together with bedrooms for 5 couples. This property is so unique as it is so private and has so many amenities, just like being at your own private resort.

***This is a new property to VRBO as we have just completed our guest house and adding it to the rental market along with our main cottage. For parties of 6 you can rent just the main cottage and game room on VRBO#834686 (please check out our awesome reviews). This listing is for a party of 10, to rent both the cottage & guest house w/ game room. *** The main cottage and guest house can only be rented by the same party. *** Point Sunnyside main cottage and guest house***
Includes two open floor plans with great rooms, two full kitchens, two living areas, two dining areas. Stocked with everything you need for the perfect vacation while enjoying the spectacular bay views from almost every room or from the two lakeside decks overlooking the bay.
Main cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms- Sleeps 6, while the guest house has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms- Sleeps 4.
Our game room is perfect, if you’re looking for some family fun or group activity, watch a movie or game on our 75" tv, play pool, shuffleboard, or ping pong. We also have many outdoor yard games and board games, for all ages. Along with outside security camera.

Our cottage is right on Grand Traverse Bay, off the beaten path but so close to everything only 2.5 miles from the town of Suttons Bay and 17 miles from Traverse City. The cottage and guest house sits on 1.5 acres of land.

The Perfect Fit!

My family has been vacationing in northern Michigan since the 1970s. We have stayed everywhere, from Beaver Island to Harbor Springs to the Leelanau Peninsula and numerous places in between. However, nothing even comes close to Point Sunnyside Up. The home was spotless when we arrived, and every bit as beautiful as advertised on VRBO. The property is tastefully decorated, with everything looking fresh and new. The owner has a meticulous attention to detail and provides everything a family could possibly need for a terrific vacation. As somebody who has been in the property management business for decades, I greatly appreciated the effort to make sure everything about this property was perfect. If you are looking to vacation at one of the most beautiful spots on the peninsula, choose Point Sunnyside Up and don't look back. It will be one of the best decisions you will ever make. For my family, it was the perfect fit!

Amazing Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Point Sunnyside with our extended family. The property was beyond amazing and the view of the bay was absolutely beautiful. Both the cottage and guest house were above and beyond any other property we stayed at and with 8 adults everyone had room to spread out, play games, enjoy the outdoors and relax. It was one of the nicest properties if not the nicest property we have stayed at. Debbie was fantastic to work with, very accommodating and communication was great. Even with a storm that moved in the morning of our arrival Debbie went above and beyond to make sure the debris was cleaned up and the property was ready for our arrival. The location was fantastic with quick trips to all the area has to offer. We will be definitely be adding this one to our annual rotation!

Amazing property & location

We absolutely loved our stay at PointeSunnyside! Working with Debbie was easy, and she made every effort to ensure our stay was perfect. Between the main cottage and guest house, the accommodations were perfect for our group. We all loved spending time together in the game room and down by the beach at the amazing fire pit. I highly recommend this property. We will be back next year!

Amazing summer getaway

We had an amazing August family vacation, during which we had access to the entire property (cottage/main house, guest house, game room, dock and grounds). Both houses have been newly remodeled and are very nicely done, clean, and accurately represented by the pictures. The house is set back from the road and the grounds are very private and nicely maintained. Beds were comfortable with plenty of linens provided, both kitchens were well stocked and very functional. The dock is great providing private access to Grand Traverse Bay just south of Suttons Bay. We rented a boat during our stay, and used the mooring buoy which was easy to access with paddleboard or kayak. The game room is a huge bonus and was a hit with our kids for decompressing after a long day of family activity on the water. The roads off the property are lightly trafficked and were great for running/walking/biking. And best of all, communications were great with the host before, during, and after the stay. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely property with us!!

A fantastic getaway with friends and family!

Absolute Perfection! The accommodations were perfect for our Fall getaway with family and friends. Debbie has thought of everything anyone could possibly need! The main house and guest house were clean, the beds were comfortable and the views amazing! The kids loved the huge game room too. Close to Sutton’s Bay and all of the wineries we visited. We were greeted by a beautiful gift basket and Debbie is even mailing a forgotten mitten back to us. Thank you for everything. We can’t wait to go back!
