Wonderful, Peaceful Oasis
This is our 3rd time staying at this location and we love it. The location is amazing and the beachfront is large, clean, and private. I cannot recommend this home enough! Families, friends, or couples - you won't regret staying here!

Perfect family getaway
A hot tub and sauna for cold days, beach and dock play for warm days, kayaks and local hiking in any weather…a perfect family getaway. This place had everything we needed and more!

Girls getaway
Clean, comfortable cottage. Water views Switch If from the kitchen and living room areas. You would barely know that the road runs between the house and the beach. Very few cars. Host Aaron has thoughtfully provided extras that most VRBO’s do not. Firewood is provided, charcoal and lighter fluid for the brick grill by the beach and also a propane grill close to the house. Soaps, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. are all provided. I always wonder what kind of coffee maker I will find at a rental. Here there was a choice of a traditional Mr. coffee, a K cup machine, and even a French press. Both regular and decaf ground coffees, a variety of K cups and even tea were all provided. Plenty of towels are available for bath, beach and the hot tub. The bedrooms are separated with the hall and the bathroom between them. The hot tub is on the back of the house facing the woods, so quite private. I’m sure the area is quite a bit busier in summer, but as this was the first week of April, it felt private and secluded. The house backs up to Deep woods and there are trees and foliage between houses. The water in Grand Traverse Bay is absolutely stunning and crystal clear. There are several wineries just a few miles away. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful Home on the Bay
The rental was spotless and well supplied. Large rooms. More kitchenware than I have at home. The area is quiet and so dark we could see the stars even thought it was cloudy. We found deer tracks on the beach. We all loved our stay and highly recommend this rental.

Cozy winery weekend on the bay
Comfortable house that feels very homey. The location is a short drive to downtown Sutton’s Bay, and there are many wineries within 20 minutes all around, some even 5 minutes away. There is a road between the house and the water, but the view was still mostly there.

Nice getaway
Property is in a nice location where you are far enough from the city but still close enough for anything needed. Lake access was nice although the weather did not give us the ability to utilize all amenities. The home is older with some items that could use updating, but they still worked.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. Normally I ask how we fell short of 5 out of 5 stars based on the pictures and description given in the listing (built 1967 remodeled in the 80's). However, based on the several inquiries prior to your stay, one could assume you did not read the listing. I asked if there was anything that could use my attention to improve the property and if you would care to share, please leave me a detailed dm. I think had Ohio State won, this review would have also! Lol, hope you don't mind a little tease from a Michigan grad 😊

Great property!
Aaron was an amazing host! He came down to talk when we first got there and told us about everything, how to use the hot tub and about the bonfires on the beach etc... Will definitely be booking with him again!

This property was great - convenient to Suttons Bay and Traverse City, all the amenities that you could ask for, clean, cozy and an exceptional view of the water from the house. The beach was the best part.

A perfect place for a beach and woods!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Easy access to the beach and water activities and opportunities to explore the woods made this rental absolutely awesome! It's also very conveniently located to explore the rest of the Leelanau peninsula and also get to Traverse City for shopping and dining! Aaron is an amazing host and is very communicative and helpful! We will be back!

The most perfect getaway
The location is perfect! The view of the beautiful bay out of your kitchen window is stunning, or walk the few steps to the beach deck with comfy chairs to wake up to or wind down with at the end of the day. The Leelanau peninsula is bursting with rolling hills, orchards and vineyards, and sweet small Up North towns with varied restaurants and shops. It is a hiking mecca. The home has been well cared for, has everything you need, and the beds are comfortable! This was a girlfriend getaway and we are already planning to stay again next year.

Perfectly situated property to explore the Leelanau area. The home had lots of room and the hot tub was great. Beach is across the small road. Great access to Suttons bay and Traverse city. Fun bike rides in the area

Great stay on the bay
We had an awesome week on the bay. Water and beach were perfect, clear and shallow enough for the kids to play all day, I only fell of the paddle board once, beds were comfortable, hot tub relaxing, location quiet and convenient to everything we wanted to do on the peninsula. Aaron was an awesome host, hope to be back soon!

Great Stay!

Perfect location for a getaway!
A few of my girlfriends and I came here as a small bachelorette celebration and it was absolutely perfect! The house was great for space, had everything we needed plus some. The beach front is gorgeous, we loved sitting in the sun. Only 15-20 minutes to downtown traverse city, so we could pop in whenever we liked. Would absolutely stay here again :)

Girls'weekend
The house was very nice. We were a little disappointed that the sauna wasn't working, but enjoyed the hot tub and had a nice bonfire on the beach. It was a good place to relax in between our trips to cider houses, wineries and activities.

Beautiful property. Clear clean lake water which I was very impressed with! The owner is very friendly and has stocked the house with essentials that you may have forgotten. Quick ride to traverse city. Went to fleet tacos and highly recommend! Will be back :)

Great stay in a beautiful area
Had a great time staying at Aarons place! His home was beautiful. And the location was amazing! There is a tiny stream running along side his home and Grand Traverse Bay in front! Even though Aaron does stay above the garage, you wouldn’t know. And if you do see him, he’s a really nice guy. And he wants his guests to enjoy his place!
