Escape to The Cottage at Little Bee Woods. Tucked away in the serene Swannanoa Valley, our modern cottage (completed in late 2022) is the ultimate sanctuary for relaxation and privacy. Whether you’re here for a romantic escape or a family adventure, you can melt away stress in our private sauna, enjoy a deep soak in the hot tub under the stars, or even book an on-site massage from our resident therapist. The cabin features an airy, open-concept great room with a gourmet kitchen and a stunning timber-frame screened porch—the perfect spot for morning coffee or sunset cocktails overlooking Watch Knob.
Space & Comfort:
Primary Bedroom: King bed + Twin bed. Secondary Bedroom: Queen bed + Twin bed. Great Room: Comfortable full-size sleeper sofa. Bathrooms: Two full, modern baths. The Location: Enjoy 13 acres of private mountain peace, just 15 minutes from charming Black Mountain and 25 minutes from the heart of Asheville.Booking Details: Stay Requirements:
We typically require a three-night minimum stay. However, if a date remains vacant within 30 days of arrival, we welcome shorter two-night bookings.
Pet Policy: We love dogs and cats! Up to 2 pets are welcome ($50 per-animal, per-stay fee).
Cleaning Fee: $75 per stay.

We already miss Little Bee Woods! It was such a nice, relaxing, private stay with our two girls. It was secluded enough to have peace and quiet but close enough to Asheville and other areas that we didn’t feel like we were constantly in the car. Charles made sure we had everything we needed and the house was well equipped-we were never searching for what we needed-they thought of everything! We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, had fires multiple nights and naps on the porch-perfection!

We recently spent a four day weekend for our anniversary at Little Bee Woods. This is our second such trip and as with the first, it exceeded our expectations. The kitchen was stocked with essentials and allowed us to cook our meals instead or eating out. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and stocked as well. The first day of our visit, there was a problem with the internet. This is especially troublesome because the cell signal is almost non-existent. The owner came immediately and had the problem fixed right away. I believe our favorite part of the weekend were the times spent soaking and unwinding in the hot tub. We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend and look forward to coming back next year. Thanks again for opening your home to us.

The cottage was immaculate. Super clean, bright, airy. Kitchen was very well appointed. As the cook in my group, I loved cooking in this kitchen and wanted for nothing. Owners were super communicative and they provided an awesome check-in/out guide, kitchen guide and even gave us recommendations for activities and restaurants. Beds were super comfortable. Our front wheel cars did not have an issue with the mountain road, but if you come in winter months… FWD needed. View was beautiful. We can’t wait to come back!!

What an incredible stay! My husband and I absolutely loved this peaceful mountain getaway. The home was beautifully designed with every thoughtful detail imaginable — from the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy porch and relaxing hot tub. The views were stunning, and the privacy made it feel like our own hidden retreat tucked up in the mountains. You can truly feel the care and intentionality that went into creating this space. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Everything was carefully thought out by the wonderful owners of this property. Just bring your clothes and food. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked with soaps, spices and detergent. The home has all of the modern amenities in a glorious peaceful setting. It’s really difficult to leave the wonderful screened in porch and the unimpeded views. Not a structure in sight! Our family really enjoyed the deck and smokeless fire pit. There’s a great hot tub that we ran out of time to use…hopefully next time. The location is great for accessing all of the desirable locales in the area while still being one of the most serene homes we have ever visited. Book it! You won’t be disappointed. Five stars for sure!

We had such a wonderful 3 week stay. The house is beautiful, clean, bright and comfortable. It is stocked with all the essentials, including kitchen cooking essentials, which is so nice. The screen porch is a wonderful spot to sit and relax, day or night, all you hear are the crickets and birds. The outdoor patio is a great place to relax with the fire pit. And of course the hot tub is great to unwind after a day of hiking. We really enjoyed the town of Black Mountain nearby, many cute shops and restaurants.The property is clearly loved and well taken care of by its owners (which unfortunately can't be said for all vacation rentals!). Charles and Virginia were a pleasure to work with. I would 100% recommend Little Bee Woods to friends, family and anyone who wants a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

Quiet, Stunning Retreat

Absolutely incredible stay! This was the perfect peaceful escape — quiet, cozy, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Every morning, we woke up to stunning sunrises and ended the day watching the sky change colors behind the peaks. The space itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel right at home.If you’re looking to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature, this is the place. The only sounds you’ll hear are birdsong and the breeze through the trees. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Mountaintop High

Spending a week literally in the clouds and treetops was spectacular. We rested well in the beds. My husband had everything he needed to cook fancy dinners. We bought local coffee beans and enjoyed a French press or full pot each morning. I spent my week close by in Montreat, and my husband and son used the cabin as home base for fishing and bike riding adventures. The owner is just up the hill if you need something but is also very respectful of guest privacy.

This was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Loved the landscaping, front porch and the deck. Nice views. This place was so well stocked w/everything you need and high end quality. Owner kept in touch w/us throughout stay to make sure all good. Going up the mountain to get to cabin was a bit tricky at times but still working on area since the Hurricane so totally understand. IF we come back to this area I will be checking to see if this place is available. Close to many parks, Biltmore and airport.

Slice of Heaven

This piece of property was amazing! It's even better than the pictures. My husband and I stayed for the weekend with our two dogs and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were even supposed to attend a concert that Saturday night and ended up skipping just so we could enjoy the outdoor space and the perfect weather we were fortunate to have. We are already looking for an open weekend in the fall to return to this wonderful location.

Book The Stay!

We just got home from a four night stay and already can’t wait to go back! Sipping coffee on the screened in porch, looking at the stars while in the hot tub, and enjoying all the local spots was the perfect way to relax and reconnect. I also booked a massage with the massage therapist the owner suggested and she came to the house and set up the table on the porch. 10/10 experience all around!

Little Bee Woods was a perfect couple’s get away. The house was so lovely and spacious, we wished we invited more friends to enjoy! The home had everything you needed and more- from espresso machine to hot tub and everything in between. The view was amazing and we were so happy that it was dog friendly. Anniversary Weekend

A perfect paradise tucked away in the NC mountains. It was spacious, clean and most importantly well stocked with most of the everyday kitchen items. The owner checked up on us several times and made sure all our needs were met. We maintained our privacy throughout the stay. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again.

Due to a change of plans this was a last minute booking. The house was lovey, lots of light and space. The decoration and fittings were perfect for a restful evening after driving along and exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. The kitchen was fitted out with everything you could possibly need. We would not hesitate to return hopefully for a little longer next time.

Lovely mountain retreat convenient to Asheville

This gem of a mountain retreat well deserves its 5-star rating! It is a beautiful, new structure with all the amenities you could ask for, with an ideal layout for 2 couples. By far the favorite part is the screened in porch overlooking the mountains — perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We even saw a bear stroll by (we were safely ensconced on the porch). Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, with easy access to all of the outdoor activities you might want to enjoy in the area. Do be aware that the house is perched atop a mountain accessed via a steep gravel road with a few hairpin turns — best to arrive during daylight the first time.

This property is one of the better ones we've rented for family vacations and it's exactly as advertised. If you're looking for a quiet place to wind down and watch the sunset through the trees from a cozy screened-in porch after exploring the greater Asheville area, then this is for you. The house has everything you need for a comfy stay, including a relaxing hot tub.
